The warehouse will be built as a part of GLP Park Lędziny in Silesia and used as a regular distribution depot for Maspex Group’s beverage division. Omega Pilzno will handle warehouse logistics and transport as part of the tender. AXI IMMO brokered the transaction.

A joint venture between Partners Group, a leading global private markets firm and investment manager Peakside Capital Advisors AG with a group of additional third-party co-investors has acquired a portfolio of warehouse properties in capital of Poland. The purchase price is not being disclosed.

MDC2  – a developer of warehouse and industrial space operating on the Polish market – announced a new key hire in their Development Team. Ewa Zawadzka was appointed a Director, Head of Development effective February 1, 2022.

After a very successful 2021, the Polish warehouse market continues to power ahead. In addition to the big five, new well-connected locations are coming up on developers’ radars. The growth of e-commerce continues to drive the construction of greener and more employee-friendly buildings. Challenges facing the market however include rising development costs, shrinking land banks and a dearth of warehouse workers. Newmark Polska asked the most active developers for their market projections.

Panattoni has started an 87,300 sqm BTS facility in Stargard in north-western Poland. The facility will be used by TEDi, a  German retail chain, which has over 2,500 stores in Europe. The project, which should be completed in October this year, will support the further development of TEDi in the country, where the company doubled the number of its outlets in 2021.

Stokvis Tapes Polska, a company offering innovative solutions in the field of glueing, insulating, joining, and protective materials, will move into the 7R City Park Gdańsk South II complex, currently under construction, in August 2022. Due to the expansion of its operations, the tenant will occupy approximately 11,500 sqm of warehouse and production space in the new location.

Panattoni has begun constructing 8,700 sqm for InPost within the Central European Logistics Hub in Łódź. In 2021 alone, Panattoni completed logistics centres of nearly 100,000 sqm for InPost within eleven locations. Due to Panattoni’s completed projects both within city limits and on their borders, the end consumer receives quicker service including in small towns.

Panattoni has announced the official opening of a new logistics centre for Action in Bieruń near Tychy. The 60,800 sqm facility has been built as a BTS project and in record time. The project has been BREEAM certified at the ‘Excellent’ level, obtaining the highest score so far at this level among Polish facilities in this category (77.1%). Ultimately, more than 200 people will be employed in the facility.

Clients interested in new industrial premises in the Czech Republic had very little to choose from last year. Thanks to record demand, which reached a record 2.39 million sqm in gross terms for the whole year, vacancy rates fell to 1.63%, a historic low. The result was also affected by a lower volume of completed industrial properties, mainly due to the impact of anti-pandemic measures. However, this changed at the end of the year when a record 800,000 sqm of industrial space was under construction. The urgent need to meet tenants' enormous demand is also evidenced by the fact that the share of speculative development has once again increased after a longer period of inactivity, 108 Agency reported today.

A furniture manufacturer is settling into the MLP Poznań West logistics centre. MLP Group is to develop over 26,000 sqm for the tenant. The client was assisted by a team of specialists of the leading commercial real estate consultancy JLL during the transaction.
