BIG Poland has opened BIG Olkusz, a fully let retail park of 13,500 sqm GLA in Olkusz, developed jointly with BOIG The Blue Ocean Investment Group. The scheme brings nine brands to the city for the first time, covering grocery, fashion, beauty and everyday essentials.
Among the brands making their Olkusz debut are HalfPrice, Kaufland, Douglas, Hebe, W.Kruk, Worldbox, Smyk, DrMaterac and Optilux. Kaufland serves as the main grocery anchor, occupying approximately 4,500 sqm, while a two-level HalfPrice store covers approximately 2,260 sqm. The dining offer includes Sushi Batoshi, Dobreto and local restaurant Fresca. The park is located at the intersection of Sławkowska and Centralna streets, with direct access from national road DK94 and approximately 350 parking spaces.
"Portfolio growth is only one measure of our progress. Equally important is the quality of each asset and its ability to perform over the long term. BIG Olkusz reflects this approach, bringing nine brands to the local market for the first time, including HalfPrice, Douglas and Hebe, while combining a strong grocery offer with leading retailers and a local business such as Fresca. Getting this balance right is essential to strengthening the competitive position of our retail parks and creating lasting value across our portfolio," said Eran Levy, CEO of BIG Poland.
BIG Poland has been active in the Polish market since 2022 and now holds a portfolio of 14 retail parks, including locations in Andrychów, Lubin, Łubna, Gorzów Wielkopolski, Ostróda, Włocławek, Myszków, Olsztyn, Suwałki, Koszalin, Kielce, Dzierżoniów, Grodzisk Mazowiecki and Olkusz, with a combined area of approximately 271,500 sqm GLA. Three further development projects are under preparation in Piła, Konstantynów Łódzki and Bolesławiec.
The company received the Investor of the Year title at the CEE Retail Awards 2026, while BIG Gorzów was named Retail Development of the Year, CEE at the Eurobuild CEE Awards 2025.
