What will offices look like once the pandemic is over? Five quarters of a health crisis later and there is still no clear answer for Warsaw’s office market. Prudent decision-making and waiting to see what happens as observed for the last few quarters on the one hand, with evident landlord flexibility, great expectations as to the vaccination rate in the capital, unfreezing of decision-making processes regarding office leases and the decidedly growing need and desire to return to office working on the other hand. Analysts at BNP Paribas Real Estate discuss the key trends prevailing on the capital’s office market to summarize the second quarter of the year.

Colliers continues the process of changes in the company's structure in Poland. After Monika Rajska-Wolińska's promotion to CEO for the CEE region announced on July 1, 2021, the company informs about the appointment of new members to the company's Management Board in Poland. Joining the board are: Marta Machus-Burek (Vice-President of the Management Board, responsible for the Corporate Development Strategy), Paweł Skałba (Board Member, responsible for Sales and Client Relations), Piotr Mirowski (Board Member, responsible for Landlord Advisory Strategy) and Maciej Chmielewski (Board Member, responsible for Tenant Advisory Strategy). Thus, they will support the President of the Management Board - Monika Rajska-Wolińska in implementing Colliers strategy in Poland in the designated areas.  

According to JLL data, the primary market in Poland's largest markets continued its record-breaking performance with 19,500 units sold in the second quarter of this year, resulting in the market’s best H1 result ever.  

Global Reach Logistics (GRL), a third-party logistics (3PL) provider, has leased an 11,680 sqm warehouse space in the distribution centre Prologis Park Poznań. The business venture is a transaction in cooperation with AXI IMMO and the Czech consulting company 108 AGENCY, which run joint projects within IRELS, an organisation of international specialists in the logistics real estate sector.

Tomasz Mika has been appointed Chief Financial Officer, effective August 1st, by the management board of 7R. He heads the company's financial division and is responsible for finance, accounting and controlling. He will also support 7R's business development in Poland and foreign markets.

The ČS nemovitostní fond, managed by REICO, is acquiring Panattoni Park Tychy DC1 in Poland. The value of the acquisition is approximately CZK 1.1 billion (€42 million). This brings the number of properties owned by the fund to 19.

Accolade Group, in cooperation with its JV partner, invested almost €26 million in a Class A warehouse facility in Wielenin-Kolonia in Central Poland. The entire facility is occupied by K-Flex, a worldwide leader in the production of elastomeric insulation, with a lease term of 17 years.
