GTC has handed over the Pillar office building in Budapest which will almost fully be occupied by ExxonMobil. This BTS project was the biggest pre-lease ever (29,000 sqm) on the Hungarian office market.

On 15-18 March, the team of CEE-based proptech company Maxify will showcase their innovative product at international real estate fair MIPIM for the first time.

JRD Group sold real assets worth CZK 1.054 billion in 2021, increased the capacity of photovoltaic power plants in Hungary to 30 MWp and commissioned a new prototype plasma gasification reactor. The JRD Land and JRD Development divisions were also strengthened, the company announced in its annual report.   

The new residential project Rezidence Radimova Břevnov will start construction in April in Prague 6, a few minutes from Prague Castle. The developer Geosan Development has now received a building permit and plans to start construction within a month. The residence should be completed within two years, the developer announced today.  

The City of Prague intends to provide rental apartments for firefighters, teachers, police officers and other necessary professionals in the next ten years with massive construction of public housing.  Last year, the city established the Prague Development Company (PDS), which is to prepare construction on city plots, the municipality announced.

Red Group has sold most of its residential project in Prague 5 to development company Crestyl. It retained only one apartment building out of five buildings. The project should include a total of 200 housing units, ThePrime reports. The value of the acquisition and other plans of the new owner are not yet known. 

For the first time in the history of its operations in the Czech Republic, developer YIT has entered into a partnership to finance its project. Local investment group RSJ will participate in the implementation of the residential complex Vesi Hostivař in Prague.

The largest new residential district in the Czech Republic, which will be built on a brownfield site, is starting construction in Prague 3 in Žižkov. It could house up to over 5,000 people. The planned investment is estimated at CZK 20 billion. According to the plans of the developer Central Group, the first inhabitants could move in as early as 2024. The entire Park District should be completed within ten years, the developer plans.

A fund managed by the Real Estate Group of Ares Management Corporation and local partner Portland Trust have sold the Coral Office Park in Prague to Mint Investments. Four independent office buildings totalling almost 35,300 sqm in Prague 5 were sold for an undisclosed price.

RSJ Group plans to build a multifunctional project in the historical centre of Prague in Revoluční Street near the Vltava River. The competition for the architectural design of the new building was won by Czech architect Eva Jiřičná, who lives in the UK. The developer is currently working on a plan to demolish the original building, E15 reports.
