Immofinanz is now expanding its real estate offering to also include affordable and sustainable housing. With Top on Stop, single-storey Stop Shop retail parks will be overbuilt to create low-price, resource-friendly housing and to create up to 12,000 new apartments over the medium-term. This represents a further contribution by Immofinanz to the fight against climate change, ground sealing and the explosion in housing costs and opens up new earnings opportunities while, at the same time, optimising risk.

Hungarian developer Infogroup has completed the latest building in its Eastern Hungarian industrial complex in the Polgári Industrial Park, which it also operates.  The 4,500 sqm industrial/logistics hall is an extension to an existing 27,000 sqm project in the park.

During H1 2021, Czech residential developer Central Group has completed the acquisition of land plots in three Prague locations, Žižkov, Hloubětín and Vysočany, for CZK 750 million. It plans to build almost a thousand new apartments on the land.

CPI Hotels has begun the construction of a new Clarion hotel in Brno, near the city’s main train station, local daily Denik reports.

Poland-based warehouse and industrial developer MDC² has acquired a new development site that will accommodate a warehouse and logistics project in the Upper Silesia region, located in Gliwice at the intersection of the A1 and A4 motorways. MDC² Park Gliwice will comprise 52,000 sqm of modern and environmentally sustainable warehouse and logistics space.

The first big tenant has moved into the first completed unit of the HelloParks industrial and logistics megapark located in Maglód, next to Budapest. FoxPost, the operator of the largest parcel locker chain of Hungary, has leased an area of 8,400 sqm and already started the installation of its new parcel sorting machines. With this investment of €1.5 million, FoxPost’s daily parcel sorting capacity will be increased by nearly tenfold.

The two-millionth square meter occurred in one of the apartments of Esencja Apartments in Poznań. The apartment was handed over at the end of July. During the 25 years of its existence, Echo Investment has built and delivered almost 200 projects in 37 Polish cities.

Hungary-based Alfa Group plans to raise approximately HUF 10 billion in its first Green Bond issue scheduled for October 2021. Ohad Epschtein, Managing Partner of Alfa Group International talked to Property Forum about the importance of sustainability and he also shared some details about the company’s expansion strategy.

Trei Real Estate GmbH will be opening its 26th retail park under the Vendo Park brand in Poland. It is located in Oswiecim, a small town of around 40,000 residents in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship in southern Poland. This latest Vendo Park has a leasing area of around 5,300 square metres and is leased to seven retailers and a supermarket. In total, Trei invested c. €7.2 million in the property. The new retail park is the first in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship.

Accor announced the signing of the first Tribe hotel in Hungary in partnership with local real estate developer Futureal. The 250-room Tribe hotel will open in Budapest at the end of 2023. The project is a major milestone in Futureal’s operation as part of its new business line focusing on hotel developments.
