Penta Real Estate is planning a new development on the banks of the Danube in Bratislava. Therefore, the company has acquired land from HB Reavis with a total area of 85,000 sqm. The price of the transaction was not disclosed. The new acquisition was reported by news portal Trend, which is part of the NMH publishing house owned by Penta Investments.

Hungary-based developer Alfa Group has decided to cancel the bond auction within the Hungarian NKP framework in Q1 due to increased interest rates. As the main reason for bond issuance was the need for a financing development pipeline, an alternative source of financing with attractive commercial terms was considered better. 

The rising prices of raw materials and ongoing supply problems result in a more challenging environment for construction, but at the same time, strong demand from developers and a focus on ESG and technology create a good opportunity for growth. The office complex BB Centrum in Prague 4, newly renamed Brumlovka, will be expanded by two more buildings. The developer Passerinvest, which has been building here for three decades, plans to build multifunctional buildings Hila and Orion, reports local daily E15.

Occam Real Estate wants to expand its development activities in Košice. After the successful acquisition of the 17,650 sqm BCT1 office building, which it bought in 2020 from the development section of the investment group Penta, it is now entering the residential development field with a €30 million project, reports the web portal reality.trend.sk.

More brownfield sites in Prague are set for new residential development. Czech developer Ekospol is planning its big comeback to the domestic development scene and wants to build 2,000 flats in Prague's Zličín district within 10 years. It is now waiting for the necessary permits to start building Ekocity Zličín, company spokesman Filip Sušanka told Property Forum today. 

Hungarian pharmaceutical giant Richter Gedeon will get a brand new HQ in Budapest. The handover is planned for the end of 2023.

GTC is set to further develop the Matrix Office Park in Zagreb by adding another building to the complex. The third building, Matrix C, which received a building permit earlier this year, will be the newest extension to the business centre. Just like the previous two, Building C is meant to provide innovative office space, while maintaining a high ecological standard for an international tenant mix. The shell & core of the building is scheduled for completion in Q2 2023 ready for the fitting out of tenant areas.

Slovak developer Cresco is entering the Czech real estate scene with a CZK 1 billion project for a 500-apartment apartment building in Prague's Holešovice, the company announced on the project's website. And it says it already has other plans for further expansion in the Czech Republic.

Local developer Lucron has sold an entire residential building to an institutional investor for the first time. Part of the Arboria Apartments project implemented in Trnava, Slovakia, the building with 51 apartments was purchased by Kooperativa poistovňa, a.s. Vienna Insurance Group, which plans to lease it on a long-term basis.
