Panattoni Hungary has officially opened its first logistics centre near Budapest. Panattoni City Dock Törökbálint offers 17,000 sqm of modern industrial space in four buildings. The value of the investment has not been disclosed.  

The Hungarian branch of the global developer Panattoni is going to build a 64,000 sqm logistics complex near the Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport at the junction of the M0/M5 motorways. The facility, planned to be delivered in two phases is scheduled to open next year.

Panattoni sees continuing interest from investors: in the first quarter of the year the company completed transactions in Poland worth a combined total of over €300 million. The developer's activity has spawned the need for a new position - Head of Asset Disposition - which has been filled by Michal Stanisławski.

Panattoni increasingly invests in post-industrial land. The share of brownfield sites in the developer's overall portfolio is steadily increasing. In countries such as Germany, France and the Czech Republic, they now even make up more than half of all of its projects under development. Altogether, this type of development now accounts for one-third of the total space completed by Panattoni in Europe and they are a perfect fit with the sustainable development strategy followed by the developer.

Panattoni is developing its portfolio in the vicinity of Warsaw. The developer has completed the development of almost 40,000 sqm as part of its City Logistics Warsaw IV project in Annopol. Half of the space is to be taken up in July this year by TRUMPF Huettinger. The production plant is to serve markets that include the US, Japan, Korea and China.

Panattoni will deliver 21,000 sqm to Trivium Packaging, a global manufacturer of metal packaging, as early as 2023. It will be the biggest completed development for a single customer in the developer's Kraków portfolio. 

The Czech industrial market has proven that it is resilient to unfavourable economic factors and therefore it will logically remain a popular asset class that is not at risk of decline. Pavel Sovička, Managing Director of Panattoni in the Czech Republic talked to Property Forum about nearshoring, rising construction costs, changing tenant demand and all other factors that are contributing to rental growth.

Panattoni Park Teplice South in the industrial zone in Hostomice has reported full occupancy. The last vacancies in the Panattoni Park Teplice South complex will be filled by international logistics companies Maersk, Raben and the manufacturing company Exyte. The park was developed by Panattoni with Accolade as the investor.

Panattoni has its first development for DTW Logistics – a rapidly developing company from the TSL sector. The tenant is to occupy over 25,000 sqm in Panattoni Park Warsaw West and is to start using the leased space from April 2023. 

RSJ Investment Group has purchased part of the land formerly owned by Poldi Kladno, where Panattoni will build a modern industrial complex with a total area of 88,500 sqm. Demolition and remediation works will start by the end of this year. The new area is expected to create 2,000 new jobs, RSJ reports.
