The multimodal complex next to Brno Airport, jointly developed by Brno Airport, belonging to the Accolade Group, and developer Panattoni, is now fully leased. Tenants such as Coca Cola, DHL or Zásilkovna are now joined by major companies s Erba Lachema from the Erba Group, Noviko and Reda.

With the recent completion of the third phase of the Tchibo distribution centre in Panattoni Park Cheb, adding approximately 30,000 sqm, the hall, totalling over 100,000 sqm, has become the largest industrial building completed this year in the Czech Republic. Panattoni as a developer completed the project together with investment group Accolade. Since the first phase of construction in 2016, the tenant has been Tchibo, one of the world's most important coffee producers and consumer goods retailers. The new part of the site aspires to a high BREEAM New Construction environmental certification rating of "Excellent". 

Panattoni is completing a logistics centre for non-food discount chain Action in Bieruń with an area of ​​60,800 sqm, of which more than 58,000 sqm will be warehousing space. The BTS facility, which should be ready in September this year, will improve the company’s logistics processes for southern and central Poland, as well as across Europe. The investment is to be BREEAM certified at the ‘Excellent ‘level.

Czech asset manager BH Securities, through its BHS Real Estate Fund, is investing in a new logistics park near Bratislava in cooperation with Panattoni.

The ČS nemovitostní fond, managed by REICO, is acquiring Panattoni Park Tychy DC1 in Poland. The value of the acquisition is approximately CZK 1.1 billion (€42 million). This brings the number of properties owned by the fund to 19.

Panattoni is entering a new market. The company has announced the opening of an office in Hungary, headed by László Kemenes. He will be responsible for the development of speculative and big-box projects in Hungary, from the site acquisition and investment preparation, through to the commercialisation of the projects and their transfer to their eventual tenants. The developer already has two projects secured in the Budapest market.

Amphenol, a major producer of electronic and fibre optic connectors, cable and interconnect systems, is relocating its production plant within Ostrov in the Karlovy Vary Region. Panattoni Park Ostrov North was created by revitalizing the devastated site after the Škoda Pilsen trolleybus production plant, one of the largest brownfields in the Czech Republic.

Accolade and Panattoni are continuing the extensive revitalization of a former settling reservoir in a sugar factory near Kojetín in the Olomouc region. The CZK 3 billion industrial complex, designed and constructed aligned with the latest trends in e-commerce and targeting future local and foreign tenants, will be completed by the end of the year 2022.

CBRE has selected large plots of land suitable for industrial construction with a total area of ​​250,000 sqm in a strategic location right next to the D11 motorway near Hradec Králové and mediated their sale. In cooperation with Panattoni, a new logistics centre for a major retail player (also represented by CBRE) with an area of ​​50,000 sqm will soon be built here. Up to 900 jobs will be created in the region in the future.

Any investor who observes the real estate market right now is likely to start with warehouse assets. This trend has already been visible, but the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic have accelerated it to an astonishing degree, says Robert Dobrzycki, Chief Executive Officer of Panattoni who talked to Property Forum about the driving forces behind the growth of the warehouse market.
