Internationally expanding Hungarian company Indotek Group is looking at new investment opportunities on the Romanian market. Florin Tirla, Country Head Romania & Bulgaria at Indotek Group talked to Property Forum about the company’s plans and shared his expectations for the future of the office and retail markets.

Despite the slowdown in activity in the first half of 2020 due to COVID-19 and the earthquake that hit Zagreb in April, the Croatian capital’s office market was very active in 2020 with total leasing activity amounting to 55,000 sqm, according to a market report by Cushman & Wakefield | CBS International Croatia.

Alides, the Ghent-based property developer and investor, has purchased Gdańsk’s Waterside office complex from DEKA Immobilien. The building has a marketable surface of 9,320 sqm and is located in the historic Old Town. This is Alides' second acquisition in Gdańsk, following the purchase of the Imperial Shipyard in 2017 together with Revive.  The purchase price has not been disclosed.

CA Immo has successfully closed the sale of the Bratislava Business Center 1 and 1 Plus office buildings in Bratislava to Wood & Company, a leading investment bank in Central and Eastern Europe. The office complex covers rentable area of around 25,500 sqm.

Commercial real estate players in Romania will be inclined to conclude contracts for shorter periods than before the pandemic, as almost 80% of owners, developers and investors in this field consider contractual adjustments and flexibility to be the main attributes that will count for tenants and end-users when the health crisis ends, according to Deloitte Romania Commercial Real Estate Survey 2021.

The Commons co-working space chain announces an increase in requests for office rentals in the centres in Bucharest, both from freelancers and small and medium-sized companies.

Generation Park Y, the tallest Skanska office building in this part of Europe, located at Rondo Daszyńskiego in Warsaw, has just received the occupancy permit. According to the developer, this 140-meter-high building is the greenest skyscraper in the capital and  it will be the new headquarters of PZU Group providing workplaces for a few thousands of the company's employees.

Colliers has taken over the management of the second building of the Face2Face Business Campus office complex in Katowice, developed by Echo Investment and designed by Grupa 5 Architekci.
