IBM Hungary is relocating its headquarters to Corvin Quarter in Budapest. The tech company will be moving into Futureal’s Corvin Innovation Campus in a phased co-location starting in 2023.

IBM has chosen Corvin Innovation Campus as a new home for its Hungarian operation. The office complex is located in Corvin Quarter, Central Europe's largest urban regeneration project. The building is being developed by Futureal according to BREEAM Excellent and WELL Platinum certifications to ensure it has a positive and enabling impact on the well-being and health of the people that work there. IBM will start occupying its new headquarters in 2023 with JLL involved in the selection, introduction and preparation of the agreement.

„The office building will deliver our strategic real estate solution with the latest standards of collaborative space and services, a fully IoT enabled smart building demonstrating IBMers and IBM technologies working together,” said Edina Drabik, Managing Director of IBM Hungary ISSC.

While Corvin Innovation Campus has been designed to meet the expectations of the digital age, a huge emphasis will be put on creating a green environment; a terrace area on each floor, an inner garden will be formed to function as a social space for employees. The Class A office building with unique facades will be surrounded by renovated and green public space and widened roads as part of the development.

„We are proud that Corvin Innovation Campus will house IBM’s new Hungarian headquarters. Despite these challenging times we have managed to sign 3 major deals in the market in the past year, which indicates that there is still strong demand for high-quality office developments with an outstanding location, state-of-the-art digital solutions, and exceptional services in the Hungarian capital. Difficult times proved that tenants value a strong and reliable developer with a vision of the future with a sense of sustainability and valid answers to ever-changing office requirements,” said Tibor Tatár, CEO of Futureal.

As part of Futureal’s Stay Safe health protection initiative common areas at Corvin Innovation Campus will become almost completely contactless. Therefore, automatic doors and light switches with card sensors, as well as safe distance signs will be set in the building.

“It has been an honour to be part of a major relocation project of Hungary. Due to our solid cooperation with IBM and Futureal, we could support one of the leading tech companies to find an ideal office location for its Budapest operations,” said dr. Péter Würsching, Head of Leasing at JLL.

Since the complex is suited in the immediate vicinity of Corvin Promenade, the area offers complete
