Cordia International, the residential development platform of Futureal Group has successfully managed its second bond issuance on the Budapest Stock Exchange to finance its further expansion, predominantly in CEE. The developer raised HUF 36 billion (€105 million) in its latest transaction which was heavily oversubscribed by financial institutions and achieved a 2.46% yield. Last November Cordia successfully placed a HUF 44 billion (€305 million) 7-year bond at 3.82% yield.

Hochtief Polska has signed a contract for the execution of the nursing home Residence Saint Jadwiga at Pulaskiego/Traugutta in Wroclaw. The project is being carried out for Orpea Polska sp. z o.o. The construction works start in the near future and will take about 19 months.

Echo Investment has gained a building permit for the Bonarka Living residential estate in Kraków. The project is being developed in close proximity to the Bonarka City Center and an over two hectare nature reserve. The first apartments will be handed over to tenants at the turn of 2021 and 2022.

A new real estate project will be developed in the Northern Romanian city of Bistrița on the grounds of the old location of the largest Romanian construction materials manufacturer’s former factory, in partnership with local real estate developer Alfa Construct Partners. Within this partnership, TeraPlast offers the land and Alfa Construct will build the properties at its own expense.

A planning permit has been issued for Penta Real Estate’s The Residence Nuselský Pivovar development in Prague’s Nusle district. As part of the €77 million (CZK 2 billion) project, the developer will build 450 residential units on the site a historic brewery.

Speedwell has launched sales for the second phase of Triama Residence, the residential compound developed in Bucharest, so a new stock of apartments is now available. The developer is starting a new building, after selling more than 90% of the apartments built in the first phase, which will be delivered at the end of this year.

Local real estate developer Forte Partners is planning to build 500 apartments on Calea Serban Voda in Bucharest. The residential building will be erected next to the developer’s U Center office project, which is currently underway. The company's second major residential project is valued at €200 million.

Real estate developer Hagag Development Europe received the building permit for H Eliade 9 Residence, its new residential project to be developed in Bucharest, Romania. Construction works are scheduled to start this August. €16 million will be invested in the new resi-scheme. Over 35% of the available units have already been contracted.

AFI Europe Romania has finalized and completely sold phase I of AFI City, the first residential project developed by the company in Romania. The first phase consists of 190 apartments and 228 parking lots, and is located in northern Bucharest, in the Bucurestii Noi neighborhood.

New housing has become more expensive in most European countries over the last years, including 2019. Among 23 countries participating in Deloitte Property Index Study, 20 showed growth in prices of new dwellings and only three of them saw a price decrease. Experts in the residential real estate market expected the growth trend to continue in 2020, but they became less optimistic in the context of COVID-19 pandemic. Thus, in almost half of participating countries, the residential market is expected to stagnate this year in terms of price and experts in only six countries have positive expectations.
