Czech real estate fund Trigea bought two retail parks in Moravia – Retail Park Haná in Olomouc and the shopping centre Retail Park Ostrava, expanding its existing portfolio of three properties with additional retail projects.  

The industrial and logistics market is booming across the region with e-commerce and logistic companies being the main drivers of growth from the tenant side. Laurent Jechoux, Business Director at Czech industrial developer Contera talked to Property Forum about current projects, market trends and the company’s entry into the office market.

REICO has launched a new real estate fund. REICO ČS Long Lease is a special mutual fund focused mainly on retail clients. Its main investment criterion is buildings with leases secured for at least 10 years, in the logistics, manufacturing, retail and office sectors. The fund is intended as a complement to the investment portfolio mainly to conservative to medium-risk clients who want to increase the return of their real estate component.

GLP has leased 20,000 sqm of logistics space across two logistics parks in Czech Republic and Slovakia. The company is developing further GLP Parks in Ostrava and Brno, with an additional two developments in the pipeline for next year.

Czech industrial developer Contera is entering a new segment and will deliver an office building in the heart of Ostrava. The new project, named Organica, is set to boast intelligent control systems and environmental friendliness, the company announced on LinkedIn.

Colliers recently secured the largest agent-involved transaction in the history of the Czech industrial market. Senior Associate Lukáš Svobodník brought Sportisimo to Hrušov in Ostrava, where Contera began construction of a logistics complex for the sporting goods retailer. This new distribution centre of the Czech company will offer jobs to 700 people. The 90,000 sqm hall, with a clear height of up to 25 meters, a rare feature in the Czech Republic, is now one of the country’s biggest logistics halls.

This year, P3 will focus on offering clients facilities constructed on a built-to-suit basis. On a site adjacent to highway D6 near Prague, the industrial developer is ready to start building 17,000 sqm of warehouse space immediately. Additional thousands of square metres are on offer midway between Prague and Dresden at P3 Lovosice, and the first columns will soon be erected in P3's new parks in Ostrava and in Myslinka near Pilsen. All of P3's new buildings will carry a BREEAM Very Good or higher certificate.

Czech real estate consultancy 108 Agency has published the first edition of an original project that provides an overall summary of the Czech industrial real estate market from the perspective of individual development companies and owners.

Passerinvest Group has sold the Nová Karolina Park office building in the centre of Ostrava. The new owner is locally based investment group RT TORAX Group.

Czech developer Contera has started the construction of a logistics complex in Hrušov on the site of a former brownfield. One of the main tenants of Contera Park Ostrava D1 will be sporting goods retailer Sportisimo. The company’s new logistics headquarters will have a clear height of up to 23 meters, automated systems and cooling, and will be one of the largest in the country with an area of 90,000 sqm.
