Spanish manufacturer of elevator components Savera is now relocating its production facility to the new CTPark Ostrava Poruba. The relocation was facilitated by Colliers.

Colliers, a provider of diversified professional services for commercial real estate and investment management, has brokered the relocation and expansion of a manufacturing facility for the Savera Components company. This manufacturer of elevator components, which has been operating in the Czech Republic since 2019 and employs approximately 80 employees, currently uses premises with an area of just under 5,000 sqm at the CTPark Ostrava Hrabová. However, due to the inability to expand its production and storage capacities at this location, the company is now relocationg its production facility to the new CTPark Ostrava Poruba, where it will occupy 11,430 sqm. This space will allow the company to build new assembly lines and a paint shop, thus expanding production capacity.

"We are delighted that Colliers had the opportunity to represent Savera Components in such a significant transaction. We already assisted this Spanish manufacturer in finding a suitable location for its first Central European manufacturing facility in 2019. In addition to site selection consultancy, we also negotiated the lease terms. At that time, the Ostrava site won in a competition against Polish and Slovak alternative locations. This was mainly thanks to the availability of a quality local workforce, a long, local tradition in metalworking, and the quality premises at CTPark Ostrava Hrabová,” says Silvie Marešová from Colliers and adds: “Due to a lack of capacity for expansion in the current location, the company has now accepted an offer from CTP for new premises in the recently finished logistics and manufacturing park in Ostrava Poruba. This will allow for the company’s planned growth."

The Savera Components manufacturing plant in Ostrava uses the latest technology for steel sheet processing. It has assembly lines specifically designed for elevator cabins, frames, counterweights, and accessories. After the relocation, the company will expand its production and storage areas and add a modern paint shop. The finished components will be exported by the manufacturer to all Central Europe, especially to Slovakia and Germany.

"The expansion of the production plant will allow us to increase our capacity as well as cover customers’ additional needs with the help of new production technologies. Thanks to our cooperation with Colliers, we were able to sign an agreement that met all our requirements. The quick process has been key to implementing our new projects on time," says Ramiro Aranda, director of Savera Components.
