CTP extends its portfolio in Hungary

CTP is significantly expanding on the Hungarian market, announcing two new land acquisitions in strategic locations. The first plot of the total of 30 hectares investment is located in Biatorbágy next to the M1 highway, the second land plot is near Dunaharaszti. These acquisitions are a result of CTP’s ambitious expansion plan in the country, which is the primary task of new Country Manager Rudolf Nemes.

CTP plans to double its portfolio by 2022

In 2017, CTP increased its portfolio by approximately 680,000 sqm and reached a record 4.5 million sqm. Occupancy of its industrial real estate — spread across over 82 locations in the region — came to 97.7%. The greatest expansion occurred in the Romanian and Hungarian markets. By 2022, CTP aims to double its portfolio, reaching 10 million sqm.

CTP invests €12 million in Bucharest BTS development

CTP and DSV, the fifth biggest global transport and logistics companies, signed a leasing agreement for approximately 40,000 sqm in CTPark Bucharest West. CTP invested about €12 million in the development of the new logistics spaces occupied by the Danish company in the first days of February.

Ana Dumitrache to leave CTP

CTP announced changes and the expansion of its management team, both local and international. Ana Dumitrache, who has been the company’s Romanian Co-Country Head for 14 months, will leave CTP on 1 February to pursue a new career opportunity. Company COO Robert Pitt will take over the tasks of Ana Dumitrache. Remon Vos, CEO of CTP and Country Head for Romania will continue his position.

CTP continues ambitious Romanian expansion

CTP will complete the construction of several warehouses and start new developments in its three logistics parks situated in the vicinity of the Romanian capital: CTPark Bucharest West, CTPark Bucharest and CTPark Bucharest North (former Chitila Logistic Park). It is estimated that by the end of 2018 their cumulated surface will reach approximately 680,000 sqm. CTP plans a total expansion of at least 300,000 sqm at national level.

CTP plans expansion in Hungary

Rudolf Nemes will be joining CTP as Country Manager in Hungary, effective on January 8th, 2018, while István Pozderka became the company’s new Senior Business Developer in Hungary, effective on January 1st, 2018. The primary task of the new team will be to accelerate business growth and to strengthen the Hungarian platform in order to create the foundation of a sustainable future expansion.

New leases

  • De Heus, a producer of animal feed, which has built a strong presence in the Polish market, has leased 7,050 sqm of warehouse and office space at GLP Łódź III Logistics Centre. This is the first Class A warehouse of De Heus in Poland. The tenant was advised by specialists from Newmark Polska during the search for the right space and throughout the lease negotiations.
  • Endava has leased an additional 2,400 sqm in the UBC 1 building, part of the Palas Iași mixed-use complex owned by Iulius. This expansion brings its total office area to 5,500 sqm.
  • Revetas Capital announced that Bonarka for Business “B4B” has secured a lease extension contract with a company of Hitachi Group - GlobalLogic. The company, a leader in digital product engineering, has been a tenant in B4B since 2016 and leases in total of 6,500 sqm of office space in Building F.

New appointments

  • Oliver Derksen is joining iO Partners Romania as the new Head of Office Advisory, having over 16 years of expertise in office leasing and business development.
  • GTC has announced the appointment of Sebastian Junghänel to the Management Board as Chief Operating Officer, effective 2 September 2025. With more than 18 years of experience in the real estate sector across Germany and CEE, Sebastian brings strong expertise in asset management, project development, ESG and innovation. His career includes co-founding ZEITGEIST Asset Management, where he built a €1 billion portfolio, and senior management roles at HOCHTIEF Group. At GTC, Sebastian will focus especially on the oversight of our portfolio in Germany, which includes, includes 5,200 residential units in Kaiserslautern, Helmstedt, Heidenheim, and surrounding areas. His know-how will also support our development projects in Central and Southeastern Europe.
  • Justyna Filipczak has taken up the position of Executive Vice President of the CEE residential segment and joined YIT's management team.
