BIG Poland has opened BIG Konstantynów, bringing its portfolio to 15 retail parks with a combined gross leasable area of approximately 285,000 sqm. Developed in partnership with Acteeum Group, the new scheme adds approximately 13,500 sqm of retail space, which was fully leased at opening. Together with the existing Kaufland supermarket and Bricomarché DIY store already on site, the complex reaches a total gross leasable area of approximately 21,000 sqm.
The park houses around 30 stores, including New Yorker, Sinsay, CCC, Martes Sport, Jysk, MR DIY, Smyk and Maxi Zoo, alongside electronics retailers RTV Euro AGD and Media Expert, drugstores Rossmann and Hebe, and a McDonald's drive-thru restaurant. A Medicover medical centre and a Well Fitness club are also part of the complex.
"BIG Konstantynów demonstrates how we can unlock further potential in an established retail location," said Eran Levy, CEO of BIG Poland. "Having 100% of the new retail space leased at opening reflects strong retailer confidence in the location and its commercial potential. This project strengthens our presence in the Łódź region and represents another important step in the long-term development of our portfolio."
The complex is located on Łódzka Street, close to residential areas in Konstantynów Łódzki and the Retkinia district of Łódź. It offers more than 750 parking spaces, a nearby tram stop, a petrol station and a car wash. The development has received a BREEAM Excellent rating for its environmental performance.
BIG Konstantynów forms part of BIG Poland's development programme, which combines acquisitions of operating retail parks with extensions of existing properties. The company also has two further development projects in preparation in Piła and Bolesławiec.
