In an industry first, CTP Invest and BRE will collaborate to implement BREEAM In-Use International across the entire CTP Invest portfolio of industrial buildings, throughout 2019 and 2020, in a landmark strategic alliance.

Having closed CEE’s largest ever real estate transaction this summer, CTP is carrying on with its ambitious development plan. Group CFO Richard Wilkinson talked to Property Forum about the company’s upcoming projects and the financing conditions industrial developers face.

CTP will complete the construction of a new factory in Kragujevac, Serbia for one of the world leaders in the production of car components. The investment is worth €16 million and will help create around 800 jobs in Kragujevac in the surrounding places.

During the year CTP grew its CEE portfolio by over 13%, reaching the milestone of 5 million sqm under management. Total asset value increased year-on-year by over 10% to €4.8 billion. The company’s LTV ratio decreased slightly to 48%.

CTP and a consortium of three banking groups (Erste Group Bank, Société Générale and UniCredit) agreed on an underwriting package of €1.9 billion for CTP’s Czech industrial portfolio, comprising 200 buildings, covering 2.7 million sqm of premium industrial space.
