Pan-European logistics and semi-industrial real estate developer VGP has kicked off the construction of the new VGP Park Győr Béta. A first lease is secured.

The Park Atrium office building in Budapest will be given a new look. As part of the reconstruction, the functions of the public spaces will be optimized according to new land-use principles and fresh design ideas, the ground floor lobby, the reception space, the conference centre and the community garden will be renewed. A new café overlooking the City Park will also be opened. The works will be completed this spring.

Czech developer Contera has started the construction of a logistics complex in Hrušov on the site of a former brownfield. One of the main tenants of Contera Park Ostrava D1 will be sporting goods retailer Sportisimo. The company’s new logistics headquarters will have a clear height of up to 23 meters, automated systems and cooling, and will be one of the largest in the country with an area of 90,000 sqm.

AFI Europe Romania is building a small shopping centre in Bucharest, on the land where the company completed the first phase of the AFI City housing project.

The construction of a slurry wall as part of the construction of the Infinity office building in Wrocław has begun. The office project, which is being developed in the very heart of Wrocław, at John Paul II Square (the junction of Legnicka and Nabycińska Streets), will offer in total almost 22,000 sqm of leasable area. Eiffage Polska Budownictwo S.A. is responsible for the implementation of the current stage of works. The investment is scheduled to be completed in Q1 2023.

Hungary’s property investment volume is expected to expand dynamically in 2021, since a significant amount of capital is looking for its place in the market. Offices with high levels of occupancy and logistics assets will be in the focus of investors. Colliers consultants foresee a total volume for commercial real estate transactions in excess of €500 million. They also see room for a slight decrease in yields by the end of the year for prime office and prime industrial, if the economy, political and monetary system will be satisfactory.
