GARBE Industrial Real Estate Czech Republic has commenced the development of 30,000 sqm at GARBE Park Chomutov. The structure will be built on the plot of a former construction company. GARBE demolished and revitalized the brownfield area and prepared it for the new construction of an industrial hall, which will be finished by the end of this year.

GARBE purchased this land soon after it entered the Czech market at the end of 2020. The company has already invested CZK 13 million into the project. This modern production and logistics space will be delivered in the region, which has an almost 100% industrial space occupancy rate. The new building will offer units leasable from 3,000 sqm, all delivered in the highest quality and with environmental solutions, such as photovoltaic panels placed on the roof.

Martin Stratov, Business Development Director for GARBE for the Czech Republic and Slovakia, said: “We are happy we can start the project following the revitalization and preparation work. We are seeing demand from production companies who are also looking for employees to support their operations. Chomutov is the perfect place to meet this need and we expect that our new space could generate up to 500 jobs.”

Martin Polák, Managing Director GARBE for CEE, adds: “We are confident in our investments in the region and in this former brownfield. Because there is almost no available industrial space in the area, which also boasts an experienced workforce, the location is ideal for speculative development. The German border is strategically located near the park which is also a big advantage.”

GARBE Park Chomutov is located in Chomutov right at the highway exit D7, 18 km from the German border and 98 km from Prague. A trolley bus station is located in the park.
