Anna Szelc has been appointed Chair of ULI Poland, succeeding Marcin Juszczyk, who held the role for three years. Szelc is Senior Director, Investments, CEE at Invesco Real Estate, where she manages a real estate portfolio valued at €1.4 billion. She previously served on the ULI Poland Executive Committee and chaired ULI Next Poland, and has nearly 20 years of experience in CEE real estate, having worked at Azora and Breevast before joining Invesco.
"ULI is something we create together. It is a community of people with different professional backgrounds, experiences and perspectives. I want ULI members to play an active role in shaping what we do, telling us which issues matter to them and asking questions," said Anna Szelc, Chair of ULI Poland.
Szelc's priorities for her two-year term include expanding ULI Poland's presence beyond Warsaw, with the organisation already active in the Tricity and Łódź. She plans to engage more professionals from across the real estate and urban development sectors, including developers, urban planners, architects and consultants. Topics she intends to bring more prominently into the programme include housing affordability, the impact of artificial intelligence on architecture and development, adaptive reuse of buildings, major infrastructure projects and the implications of Europe's ageing population for cities and real estate.
Strengthening Poland's role in ULI's international network is another stated aim. "We want to draw more ideas and inspiration from ULI's global network, but it is equally important to showcase Poland's successes. I would like ULI Poland to share more widely what we have achieved in our cities and projects," Szelc added.
Outgoing Chair Marcin Juszczyk, Managing Partner and Vice President of the Management Board at Capital Park, has since July 2026 served as a Global Trustee of the Urban Land Institute and joined the ULI Europe Executive Committee in 2025. "It has been a fantastic three years. We achieved a great deal, but I say 'we' because it was a team effort. I am proud of what we built together, and I believe the organisation is entering another very strong phase of growth," said Juszczyk.
