The leading logistics developer has made a €21 billion offer for a huge chunk of „last mile” properties, Bloomberg reports. None of the parties made comments on the news but Blackstone said earlier that a capital increase worth €21 billion was on the agenda.

More brownfield sites in Prague are set for new residential development. Czech developer Ekospol is planning its big comeback to the domestic development scene and wants to build 2,000 flats in Prague's Zličín district within 10 years. It is now waiting for the necessary permits to start building Ekocity Zličín, company spokesman Filip Sušanka told Property Forum today. 

Hungarian pharmaceutical giant Richter Gedeon will get a brand new HQ in Budapest. The handover is planned for the end of 2023.

The construction of the P180 office building, Skanska's investment, located directly next to the Wilanowska metro station in Warsaw, is entering its final phase. A symbolic topping out of the building signifies the end of construction works. The project will ultimately provide 32,000 sqm of office space. The building is scheduled to be commissioned in September 2022.

In 2021, Poland's warehouse market recorded another outstanding result. The seven most important highlights included a record-breaking volume of investment transactions, take-up, and space under construction. The total industrial stock at the end of December 2021 amounted to more than 25 million sqm, with the vacancy rate indicating only 3.72%.

Preliminary figures compiled by Savills suggest that the total real estate investment volume in Europe for the first quarter of the year will reach approximately €70 billion, a 19.5% increase year-on-year. Despite geopolitical events, the real estate advisor expects solid European investment activity for the remainder of the year, notably fuelled by large portfolio and entity deals.

GTC is set to further develop the Matrix Office Park in Zagreb by adding another building to the complex. The third building, Matrix C, which received a building permit earlier this year, will be the newest extension to the business centre. The military boarding school Hviezda in Bratislava, also known as "Kukurica", has been dilapidated for many years. The iconic high-rise building from the 1970s has a distinctive architectural style yet is a local landmark. However, it may already be on the verge of being saved. The Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic (MoD) has started taking the first steps towards reconstruction, according to Slovak websites reality.trend.sk and yimba.sk.

Belgian developer Alinso Group has purchased the Metav Business Park in northern Bucharest from Metav S.A. for an undisclosed sum.

The two office towers of Global Office Park developed by Cavatina in Katowice have been awarded an occupancy permit.
