Nearly 100 more apartments for young people are being built in Bratislava's Ružinov district as part of the NUPPU project. The YIT Slovakia development group continues the project's construction with the next stage, Magnolia 2, the company confirmed to Property Forum today. 

The YIT Group, which is the largest construction and development company in Finland and has so far operated in 10 countries including the Czech Republic, has completed a strategic review of its business in Russia. Based on this analysis, it signed an agreement with Etalon Group PLC to sell its business in Russia.

For the first time in the history of its operations in the Czech Republic, developer YIT has entered into a partnership to finance its project. Local investment group RSJ will participate in the implementation of the residential complex Vesi Hostivař in Prague.

In the Czech Republic, modular construction has often been used in prefabricated houses in the past. Now, developer YIT is coming up with prefabricated parts in the new residential project Lappi Hloubětín in Prague. Further use of the modules is planned in the Vesi Hostivař project, e15.cz reports.

The construction of over 800 living units has started at the intersection of Postępu and Domaniewska Streets in Warsaw. The project has been developed by YIT for the leading Nordic real estate investor NREP. Unibep has been chosen as the general contractor. Smartti Mokotów will be the largest professionally run lease facility in Poland.

NREP, one of the leading real estate investor in the Nordic countries, will soon open an office in Warsaw. NREP has just finalized the purchase of a logistics portfolio of 130,000 sqm and over 1,000 new apartments in Warsaw.

Finnish developer YIT has been awarded a construction permit for a mixed-use complex next to the European Solidarity Centre in Gdańsk.

YIT Slovakia has completed the reconstruction of the Pradiareň 1900 office building in Bratislava. Starting from December 2020, the Slovak branch of Microsoft will move into the premises as the first tenant.

Colliers International has been assigned to assist YIT Slovakia in leasing the Pradiareň 1900 office building. After the opening, Colliers International REMS will be assisting the developer with property management.

YIT has sold housing projects in Prague, the Czech Republic and in Bratislava, Slovakia to YCE Housing I fund. The value of the projects is approximately €50 million, and the sales are recorded in the last quarter of the year.
