YIT is the new owner of the Kuta Centrum office complex in Prague 4. In the future, the complex, renamed YIT Office Centrum, should be transformed into a residential complex, the CEO of YIT told online daily newstream.cz.

In 1.5 years, 275 modular bathrooms have been installed in YIT apartments in the Czech Republic. The developer is expanding the use of prefabrication to other building elements. By incorporating this technology, the company plans to not only improve the quality of its residential projects but also speed up their implementation. At the same time, it expects to have less demand for labour, which is in short supply. In addition to bathrooms, the developer is now also using modular manufacturing for structural elements. The Czech branch of YIT is following in the footsteps of its parent company in Finland, which has been building in this way since the 1970s, YIT told the press.

YIT has completed the Koti Libeň residential project in Prague 8, which includes 140 apartments, two studios and one commercial space. The last apartment is currently available for purchase. YIT announced that new residents will be able to move in in the second quarter of this year.

During the fifteen years YIT has been present in the Czech market, the company has seen a significant change in the behaviour of its clients, their demands and its emphasis on high quality. If we add to this the recent rise in energy and building materials prices, we are motivated to look for new materials with minimal environmental impact, says Dana Bartoňová, Sales Director of YIT Stavo in an interview with Property Forum.

The area of former factories and industrial halls in Prague 9 will be transformed into a modern urban district. Skanska is now planning to invest more than CZK 1 billion (€41 million) in the Alfred apartment building there. The building, which is part of the second phase of the construction of the district of industrialist Emil Kolben, is expected to be completed in 2025, reports E15.cz.

YIT has approved the residential project Parvi Cibulka, which was created by revitalising a former factory in Prague 5 into loft-type housing. Only less than a third of the 150 units are left to be purchased. The building also includes nine non-residential premises.

The latest plans of YIT include residential construction outside of Prague. The company plans to gradually build 800 apartments on the outskirts of Kladno within 12 years, e15.cz reports.

Another apartment building inspired by Scandinavian architecture has been launched in Prague by the developer YIT.  The twelve-storey building with 47 apartments will be built near metro line C's Opatov station. It should be completed within two years, the developer informed.

YIT has started construction of the Happi Milánská project in Prague's Horní Měcholupy and has put 72 new Finnish-style apartments of up to 99 sqm on sale. The residential building with access to both the countryside and the city centre will also include three commercial spaces. The developer plans completion in spring 2024.

Nearly 100 more apartments for young people are being built in Bratislava's Ružinov district as part of the NUPPU project. The YIT Slovakia development group continues the project's construction with the next stage, Magnolia 2, the company confirmed to Property Forum today.
