Part of the Glamox Group, ES-SYSTEM, a producer and supplier of professional lighting systems, has decided to let nearly 11,500 sqm of modern warehouse and office space in the 7R Park Poznań East logistics centre. The tenant was represented in the negotiation process by AXI IMMO consultants.  

Trei Real Estate’s development portfolio grew by 33 percent to €1.2 billion in 2020 from €900 million in 2019. The sum total breaks down into €1.0 billion in residential real estate and c. €200 million in retail real estate. The proprietary portfolio of Trei maintained its total of c. €1.2 billion and it includes 349 assets.

Real estate investment manager Garbe Institutional Capital, headquartered in Hamburg (Germany), is expanding into Central and Eastern Europe. Managing and developing retail, office and residential real estate assets, the company will initially focus on the Polish and Czech markets. With its commitment to the CEE region, Garbe Institutional Capital provides German institutional investors with access to high-quality real estate investments in economically prospering metropolitan areas in the eastern part of the European Union. The new CEE business is based in Prague and headed by Ben Maudling as Managing Director, Head of CEE.

Eurocash has acquired 49% stake in Arhelan retail chain, which operates over 100 stores in north-eastern Poland. The investment in Arhelan is in line with the development strategy of the group, as it aims to create the largest supermarket chain in Poland based on owned and franchise stores. 

The Polish anti-monopoly regulator UOKiK has approved the takeover of the Polish branch of the British retailer Tesco by its Danish competitor, Salling Group, operator of the Netto discount store chain.

Panattoni is to deliver a dedicated facility for TJX Europe - the owner of the TK Maxx brand and a leading off-price clothing and homeware retailer. The 61,135 sqm distribution centre will be located in Sulechów, Western Poland. This facility will help to supply products to TK Maxx shops in Poland, Germany, Austria and the Netherlands. Real estate advisory firm Cresa represented TJX Europe in the transaction.

Chariot Top Group BV, a company managed by Griffin Real Estate, has sold 4 retail parks, completing the third and the last tranche of retail assets acquisition by EPP. It is the biggest retail transaction on the Polish real estate market in terms of volume since the beginning of the pandemic.

The growing maturity of the Polish industrial real estate sector is directing investor attention towards urban logistics properties. According to data from JLL and SEGRO, available investment land and the possibility to extend existing parks in the eight largest agglomerations allow for the development of up to 4 million sqm which could meet the increase in demand.

Echo Investment has started the construction of the Brain Park office complex in Kraków. Over 43,000 sqm of workspace and almost 10,000 sqm of green areas will be developed at Aleja Pokoju, one of the city's main arteries. The first phase of the project will be completed in the third quarter of 2022.

Panattoni has launched the construction of Panattoni Park Zgorzelec, which will comprise ​​approx. 70,000 sqm. This is the developer’s latest 3 PL investment near the Polish-German border. The first tenant has already been secured for the park – ID Logistics, which will occupy 44,500 sqm for its e-commerce operations. Panattoni has also announced that the project will be BREEAM certified at the ‘Excellent’ level.
