Millennium Gardens, developed by TriGranit in Budapest, is over the design stage of the two-stage BREEAM certification, which puts the office building in the Excellent category.

Infopark buildings B, C and I, all owned by Wing, received a BREEAM-In-Use Very Good sustainability certification. The certification was earned with energy and water-efficient management and operation, selective waste collection, and the features of the buildings that contribute to the well-being and health of those using them. Located at the Buda end of the Rákóczi bridge, Infopark is majority-owned by Wing – the company owns buildings B, C, D and I, with a total area of 100,000 sqm.

Standards that certify a building's resilience to a pandemic are not only useful, but also necessary in the current context, according to 96% of employees surveyed by Romanian developer Genesis Property. 

CA Immo says it has obtained the COVID-19 Compliant certification for its entire Romanian portfolio that comprises seven office buildings with a total leasable area of over 165,000 sqm. 

Cluj-based office building Amera Tower has received a pre-certification as a "zero waste building" and is working towards obtaining the full certificate from the Zero Waste Europe organization, making it the first project in Romania that gets this label. 

FUTURE Designs, the UK based designer and manufacturer of high-quality luminaires and bespoke lighting solutions, has obtained the first IMMUNE Building Standard certification in the world for an industrial building, awarded by the Healthy by Design Building Institute (HDBI). The factory and headquarters achieved the label IMMUNE - Strong following the company’s successful implementation of the set of health and safety measures for its employees.

In February 2021, the N3 building of GTC’s Green Heart office complex in Belgrade has obtained a LEED Gold certificate, thus finalising the certification process for the whole complex. Completed in 2020, Green Heart comprises five Class A buildings providing 46,300 sqm of office space.

Over 230 real estate projects in Romania have been certified to meet health, safety and sustainability standards and the pandemic has boosted the efforts of developers to meet targets for such ratings, according to Colliers. 

The topic of sustainability has become one of the most important megatrends of our time. Sustainable construction is also becoming increasingly important in the hotel real estate market, leading to an increase in demand for corresponding certificates in Austria, according to Christie & Co.

CTP has completed the certification of its industrial real estate portfolio in Central and Eastern Europe. In total, 292 CTP buildings at around a hundred different locations in six countries have confirmed their BREEAM In-Use status at the Very Good level or higher. A number of properties have reached the Excellent level. This ranks the company as the greenest developer of industrial real estate in CEE.
