Warehouse 2, part of the Good Point V logistics and production park in Łubna, Pomerania, has been awarded a final BREEAM International New Construction V6 certificate at the Excellent level, with a score of 73.5% in the Post Construction Assessment.  

Romanian developer Genesis Property has obtained the BREEAM International In-Use certification, Outstanding, for Building F in its Bucharest-based Yunity Park business campus.

Vastint Poland has been awarded the LEED Gold certification for the Sound Garden Hotel located within Business Garden Warsaw. This is the last of seven buildings that make up this  complex, which has successfully undergone multi-criteria environmental verification.

Urbanity Campus Tachov, located west of Plzeň, became the first industrial complex in the Czech Republic to receive an international BREEAM Communities certification. It has now completed the three-year certification process with the final rating of “Excellent”. The construction of the second phase of the project is now launching, which will offer 55,000 sqm of leasable space.

The first phase of Skanska's H2Offices has earned a Platinum Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Core and Shell version 4 certification with 84 points, which is currently the highest score in Hungary. Based on its accessibility features, the building also obtained the highest rating of Access4You certification, meaning Gold level.

The Polish office buildings owned by PineBridge Benson Elliot and Sharow Capital - the Diamentum Office in Wrocław, Okrąglak and Kwadraciak in Poznań, Forum 76 in Łódź, Opera Office in Gdańsk and Vinci Office Center in Kraków - have renewed the WELL Health-Safety Rating certification. MVGM was responsible for the certification process of the office buildings.

Investors, developers, construction companies, banks and end-users are the main stakeholders in the property value chain. To get the perfect result, you have to involve one more expert, a sustainability manager who will have a special role: represent the Environment, says Dávid Jakab, Managing Partner of advisory firm Realiscon. He and Enikő Kluha, BREEAM Assessor, Advisory Professional at Realiscon talked to Property Forum to provide detailed insight into certification systems.

With a share of 70-80% of the total building stock, the retail sector in Romania has the biggest number of projects that have received green certifications, followed the industrial and office projects, according to real estate consultancy Colliers. 

UBM Development Czechia is implementing all its current residential projects with BREEAM certifications. This is an ecological certification that confirms the standard of buildings in terms of sustainability and environmental friendliness. With BREEAM certification, UBM is currently building the Arcus City residential complex in the Prague-Reporyje district and the Astrid Garden residential project in Holešovice, Prague 7.

Romanian developer Iulius has signed a partnership with IFC, a World Bank member, in a move designed to create a decarbonation strategy for the whole property portfolio with a target to reach net zero on carbon emissions.
