STC Partners will invest more than €20 million in a new residential complex comprising over 200 apartments in Bucharest. The first development phase of Quartier Azuga will kick off in October 2022 and is slated for delivery in the first semester of 2024, while the entire project should be completed in early 2025. Crosspoint Real Estate has been appointed exclusive sales agent. 

Local real estate developer Camicna Development has started the construction of Acmanic, a boutique luxury residential project worth €25 million that includes 51 duplex apartments. 

CTP has delivered a built-to-suit warehouse spanning 35,000 sqm in CTPark Mogoșoaia, near Bucharest, for pharmacy chain A&D Pharma – Dr. Max Group. 

AFI Europe Romania has secured the LEED Platinum precertification for AFI Tech Park 2, the second phase of the AFI Tech Park office development located in Bucharest. The developer worked with Colliers on the certification process.

The modern stock of industrial spaces in Romania reached 5.9 million sqm in the first semester of 2022, with 500,000 sqm under construction and 44% of this volume already pre-let, according to a report by real estate consultancy CBRE.

The retail market in Romania is set to expand by more than 500,000 sqm in the next four years, with 10 of the projects in the pipeline each having more than 10,000 sqm, according to  Cushman & Wakefield Echinox. 

Rents for commercial projects that are being developed at present in Romania will grow in the next 2-3 years, while demand for green buildings will continue to expand, concluded speakers at a panel discussion at Property Forum’s annual Summer Networking Party organised in Bucharest.

Residential asking prices in Romania grew by 2.5% in May compared to April to an average of €1,751 per sqm, with Cluj-Napoca remaining the most expensive market in the country, according to the Imobiliare.ro platform. 

Equilibrium 2, the second phase of the Equilibrium project developed by Skanska in northern Bucharest, has obtained the preliminary Net Zero Carbon Buildings certification, granted by the Romania Green Building Council (RoGBC).

Romanian property company Eden Capital Development has secured the construction permit for a new residential complex in northern Bucharest and plans to kick off the building phase this autumn.
