In H2 2019, gross take-up on the Brno office market reached 54,600 sqm (up by 303% y-o-y), whereas in Ostrava gross take-up reached 4,100 sqm, representing a y-o-y decrease of 41%. The Regional Research forum announced the Brno and Ostrava office market figures for H2 2019.

Last year saw excellent results in the office sector in Poland. Demand was a record breaking 1.6 million sqm. Total stock exceeded 11 million sqm with regional markets accounting for 5.6 million sqm and outperforming Warsaw for the first time. JLL summarised the situation on the Polish office market at the end of 2019.

Occupier demand for office space in Warsaw remained robust, with 878,000 sqm transacted in 2019, up by 2% on the peak year 2018. Cushman & Wakefield presented a summary of 2019 on the Warsaw office market.

Atenor announced that the final building permit for the Dacia One project has been obtained. Dacia One is located on the crossing between two of Bucharest most prestigious boulevards, Calea Victoriei and Bulevardul Dacia. The project includes two separate buildings consisting of a historic listed villa (1,500 sqm) formerly occupied by the German Legation and a new state-of-the-art Class A office building (13,500 sqm).

The Neopark office complex, one of the flagship investments of Yareal Polska, is now fully leased, with companies such as Play, Inpost, New Work, Olympus and Mitsubishi opening their offices in the buildings’ 24,000 sqm of space. Experts from JLL were responsible for the commercialization of the project.

Overall in 2019, total gross take-up on the Prague office market reached 439,000 sqm, representing a decrease of 18% in year-on-year comparison. The Prague Research Forum announced the office market figures for Q4 2019.

Cushman & Wakefield consolidate its Warsaw headquarters at The Warsaw HUB in the city’s new business centre. The global commercial real estate services company will occupy nearly 2,500 sqm of office space in the skyscraper.

Almost 800,000 sqm of office space is currently under construction in Warsaw of which approx. 55% will be delivered in 2020, according to the latest Savills research. The capital city of Poland continues to be a big construction site, mostly due to very strong demand for the office space with its record-high levels recorded in 2019.

Budapest’s certified green office stock of 630,000 at 2015 year-end had increased to over 1,500,000 sqm by the end of 2019, more than doubling the amount of green office space. This represents 40% of the total modern office stock in the Hungarian market. There have also been doubles in the number of certified office buildings or office fit-outs, which increased from 46 to 105, according to the latest green building infographic analysis of Colliers International.

Demand on the Warsaw office market reached 880,000 sqm with 225,000 sqm in the form of pre-lets. JLL summarised the situation on the Polish office market at the end of 2019.
