The development group Crestyl is returning the Baroque Savarin Palace in the centre of Prague to the cultural map of the metropolis. The most valuable historical spaces of the newly renovated listed building by Kilian Ignác Dientzenhofer are opening doors for exhibitions instead of the casino.

Romanian investor and developer River Development has announced its rebranding as Sema Real Estate, with all current and new projects to be reunited under this umbrella. 

MDC2 and Fortress Real Estate Investments Limited have finalised the lease of approximately 25,000 sqm within MDC2 Park Łódź South. The tenant is Oriflame Holding AG, the owner of the Oriflame brand. It will start its operations at MDC2 Park Łódź South in Q1 2025. The investment was also previously chosen by Notino, which distributes cosmetics, perfumes and over-the-counter medicines from this location.

YIT Slovakia has presented a pilot project of cooperative housing in Bratislava earlier this year. It is an alternative to mortgage financing of real estate. The developer is now launching its sequel in the ZWIRN 3 project.

After Q1 2024, which saw the weakest transaction volume in years (€364 million), Polish capital led the way in commercial property investments, accounting for 25% of the total volume. Notably, the volume of investments by Polish capital in the first half of the year was double that of the previous year. For reference, the average share of Polish capital in the market from 2018 to 2022 was just around 2%, says Artur Czuba, Associate Director, Investment at Avison Young. 

In recent days, Newgate Investment (NGI) has finalized the acquisition of a ready-made retail park in Zgorzelec with a gross leasable area of 5,488 sq m (GLA). The seller was Smart Park Poland - an investor and developer of retail parks. The price has not been disclosed. Financing for the transaction was provided by mLeasing.

According to a report published by Newmark Polska, occupier activity on Poland’s largest regional city office markets (Kraków, Wrocław, Tricity, Katowice, Poznań, Łódź, Lublin, Szczecin) remains stable, but tenants are increasingly focusing on workspace efficiency and looking for better quality offices. Almost 70% of the total leasing activity across the regions is concentrated in Kraków, Tricity and Wrocław. With office availability in existing buildings in regions remaining high and estimated at nearly 1.2 million sqm, developer activity remains limited.

Industrial developer CTP has appointed Jovan Radosavljevic as its new Managing Director for Romania, tasked with overseeing the company’s expansion in the country.
