Walter Herz has launched a new department specialized in the high-end residential segment in Poland, which will be led by Katarzyna Goryszewska as Head of Luxury Residential Agency.

Česká Spořitelna has already revealed its plans to move its headquarters within a few years. Its new campus is being built in Smíchov, Prague. With this planned change, which should take place around 2028, the bank is planning to completely abandon its existing buildings near the Budějovická and Roztyly metro stations. The bank has already put its old buildings on the market, reports e15.cz.

Penta Real Estate and the XPlace platform owned by the Archdiocese of Prague, have decided to continue their cooperation in developing rental housing. XPlace has agreed to acquire two apartment buildings with 62 residential units in the Nová Waltrovka in Prague 5. 

DIY retailer Leroy Merlin has leased around 11,000 sqm for a new store that will open in Iași-based Mall Moldova during H1 2025. 

Polish photovoltaic installation companies Kajima Poland and Hymon have completed the construction of a new solar plant for a facility operated by NGK Ceramics Polska in Dąbrowa Górnicza, southern Poland.

Develia has purchased a plot of land in central Wrocław, where it plans to develop a student accommodation project with around 600 rooms and two facilities. The property was acquired from a company within the Puro Hotels group for close to €10 million.

Hungarian developer Cordia plans to add over 1,000 apartments this year, in Budapest, with three-quarters of this supply hitting the market in the first quarter alone. This expansion will increase the availability of new homes in the city by 20% compared to the end-of-year stock.

The city of Prague has received a building permit for the revitalisation of the Smíchov transport hub, including an interchange for city and intercity buses or trams, in addition to the modernised railway station and metro station, reports E15.cz.

The modern, developer-led warehouse stock in the Czech Republic has reached almost 12.3 million sqm in the fourth quarter of 2024. Approximately 106,700 sqm have been delivered to the market within 4 industrial parks across the country representing a 63% decrease compared to the same period last year and a decrease of 35% quarter-on-quarter, announces Industrial Research Forum in its Industrial Market Figures for Q4 2024.
