Skanska invests €50 million in the second phase of Generation Park, an office project located in Warsaw, Poland. The second building, with a total leasable area of about 18,300 square meters, will comprise 16 stories above ground and two stories of underground parking. The investment will also include four underground parking levels for the planned third building.

Skanska has sold phase I of Nowy Rynek, an office building within a mixed-use project in Poznań, Poland, for €73 million. The buyer is confidential. The transaction will be recorded by Skanska Commercial Development Europe in the fourth quarter 2017. The transfer of the property is scheduled for the second quarter 2019.

As a response to continued strong demand from tenants in Budapest and Bucharest, Skanska plans to launch several new projects in both capital cities. Marcin Łapiński, Managing Director for Hungary and Romania talked to Property Forum about the differences between the two markets.

The Board of Directors has appointed Anders Danielsson new President and CEO of Skanska. He will succeed Johan Karlström who previously announced he will step down.

Skanska plans to launch the construction of one new office building per year in Budapest. The construction of Mill Park is currently underway and works on the third phase of Nordic Light are to be launched in January 2018.

Hansainvest Real Assets GmbH has acquired Generation Park X, the first building of Generation Park, a prime office project located in Warsaw, Poland. It is the investor’s second acquisition in Poland, as well as its second from Skanska. The transaction volume was around €83 million.

Skanska has commenced the third building of its Krakow-based High5ive office project. During the construction works, the company will also develop an underground garage for the fourth building. High5ive, developed in the very heart of the city, will ultimately consist of five buildings and deliver 70,000 sqm of office space. The whole project will contribute to an interestingly managed and thought-out urban area in Krakow.

Triuva Kapitalverwaltungsgesellschaft (Triuva) has acquired the Green Day office building in Wroclaw, Poland from a Luxembourg fund advised jointly by GLL Real Estate Partners GmbH (GLL) and Investec Bank PLC. The purchase price is believed to be in the region of €48.5 million.

Skanska invests €27 million in the office project Praga Studios in Prague. The seven-floor building will offer a total leasable area of about 12,000 square meters. Construction has begun and the office building is scheduled for completion in Q2 2019.

Skanska has acquired the Key office project in Prague’s Pankrác district from ČSAD Praha Holding for an undisclosed sum. The developer plans to start construction works before year-end.
