The pace of change in property is undoubtedly getting faster. The way real estate is being built, managed and valued is being digitised which means that sooner or later many of the current job titles will disappear. The key obstacles in the way of technological advancement in the property business are the lack of collaboration and transparency. Property Forum visited the International Property Technology Summit in Moscow, Russia.

There is an ongoing mentality shift in the property industry which not just about technology, proptech guru James Dearsley revealed at the largest event on the Hungarian property market. Over 700 participants and nearly 100 speakers gathered at the 13th Portfolio Property Investment Forum in Budapest which focused on the future of real estate.

The increased use of technology is already changing the way industrial property is being built and used. Tim Davies, Head of EMEA Industrial and Logistics Agency at Colliers International United Kingdom talked to Property Forum about e-commerce, robotics, big data and many more.

According to Property Forum’s survey, real estate professionals in CEE are not afraid of future technologies and they think that just because the way we work is changing that doesn’t mean that we will need less office space in the future.
