Affiliates of Lone Star Funds have acquired a real estate package from Cavatina Holding S.A. After announcing their intention to go ahead with the deal in June, the parties managed to quickly bring it to a conclusion. Carbon Tower in Wrocław, Ocean Office Park A and Tischnera Office in Kraków offer a total of nearly 66,000 sqm of GLA with an average lease rate of approx. 90%. The deal amounted to more than €139 million.

The first Radisson Red property in Poland is now welcoming guests. Radisson Red Gdańsk is part of the redevelopment of Granary Island in the center of the Pomeranian capital on the Baltic Sea. With this new opening, Radisson Hotel Group’s portfolio in Poland has grown to 22 properties in operation and under development.

The Japanese apparel brand is preparing to open its first pop-up store in Poland – in Domy Towarowe Wars Sawa Junior in the centre of Warsaw. The two-storey store in one of the most popular shopping destinations in central Warsaw is set to open this autumn.

Due to the growing interest of companies in locating their business in the Central and Eastern European region, Colliers has launched a new business line within its Strategic Advisory department – Business Consulting, which will cover the entire CEE market. According to a report prepared by Newmark Polska, at the end of the second quarter of 2022, Poland’s total warehouse and industrial stock amounted to over 26.1 million sqm, representing a 19.5% increase on the same period in 2021. New supply in the first half of the year surpassed 2.4 million sqm, of which close to 53% was delivered in the first three months, marking the best quarterly result in the history of the Polish market.

DHL Supply Chain has begun the construction of a logistics facility in Gorzów Wielkopolski with a planned total area of 110,000 sqm.

First Property Group has acquired another 7,171 sqm (or 32.1%) of Blue Tower in Warsaw city centre, bringing its ownership of the property up to 80.3% (17,937 sqm).

Panattoni has leased out 17,000 sqm in Lublin to Stella Pack, one of the largest distributors of chemical cleaning products and a producer of hygiene products. The leasing agreement was brokered by consultancy BNP Paribas Real Estate.

The Polish office market has more than 12.6 million sqm of modern space at the end of Q2 2022. Traditionally, Warsaw remains the leader in total stock, with eight major regional markets led by Krakow and Wroclaw not slowing down. An example is Tricity, which joined the ranks of office millionaires in the second quarter of this year. Optimism from rising demand is emerging from the market picture. HOP, a post-modern office building from the 1990s has undergone a thorough upgrade thanks to Syrena Real Estate. The process lasted nearly a year and reached completion with the opening of the Lupo Pasta Fresca restaurant by  Warsaw restaurateur Justyna Kosmala, owner of Charlotte and the Wozownia Bar. The office building has also recently obtained the BREEAM in Use certificate at the EXCELLENT level and Barrier-Free Facility awarded by the Integration Foundation. The HOP is the first of two development projects in Syrena RE’s portfolio with PineBridge Benson Elliott to undergo such transformation. Work on the other project, the Marynarska Business Park, is underway.
