MLP Group has signed a new agreement with Santander Bank Polska. The bank has provided it with financing of more than €19 million and PLN 4 million. The funds will be used to refinance the existing warehouse facilities and finance the construction of new warehouse facilities within the MLP Łódź logistics park. The Kycia Legal law firm advised on the transaction.

To date, more than 43,000 sqm of modern space has been made available for occupancy in the newly built centre. Considering the park’s target area, it will be possible to double that space.

“We are very pleased to have finalised the transaction with another leading financial institution in Poland. On behalf of MLP Group, I would like to thank Santander Bank Polska for the good cooperation, hoping for further strengthening of our business relationship,” said Monika Dobosz, CFO of MLP Group S.A.

“The long-term financing provided by Santander Bank Polska, a financial institution that has been supporting the development of the warehouse and logistics sector in Poland for many years, is a result of the bank’s positive view of MLP Group S.A.’s operating model, the professional competencies of its employees and the high quality of its assets that meet sustainability criteria. We look forward to the further dynamic development of our cooperation,” stated Paweł Sobień, Corporate Clients Director at Santander Bank Polska.

“We are very glad that Kycia Legal had the opportunity to work with Santander Bank Poland and MLP Group. I would like to thank both parties for trusting us with their first joint transaction,” said Grzegorz Kycia, Partner at Kycia Law Firm.

MLP Łódź is a logistics and distribution centre located in the Widzew district in the south-eastern part of Łódź, only 4 km from the A1 motorway, connecting Łódź with the Tricity, and about 20 km (a ten-minute drive) from the A2 motorway (Berlin-Poznań-Warsaw). Its major advantages include close proximity to municipal transport services. Sited on a land plot of approximately 20.98 ha, the project will ultimately deliver 86,800 sqm of new space. The centre will be developed based on the concept of sustainability, and the warehouse facilities will all be BREEAM certified. The MLP Łódź logistics complex is focused primarily on tenants operating in the e-commerce, logistics, distribution and light industrial production sectors.
