In the first half of 2022, demand for offices in the Polish largest regional cities was higher than in the entire 2021. Also office assets in such locations are now one of the main targets for investors, says Avison Young Poland.

Starting this summer, an unmanned Żabka Nano store operates in Aeropark Business Centre, owned by GTC. 

The modern office stock in Romania has reached 4.3 million sqm at the end of the first semester of 2022, with another 335,300 sqm slated for delivery by the end of 2023, according to real estate consultancy CBRE. 

Property developer Skanska has named Anamaria Crețu and Tamara Guleryuz as Leasing & Asset Managers for the Romanian portfolio. The roles contribute to the growth of the business and the improvement of the experience offered to clients and occupiers of buildings.

At the end of June 2022, Warsaw’s total office stock amounted to approximately 6.27 million sqm. Occupier activity accelerated while the vacancy rate continued its downward trend in H1 2022, according to Cushman & Wakefield.

Bucharest recorded 10 of the 14 major property transactions closed in the first half of 2022, while the overall volume of investment rose by 6% to €323 million compared to the first half of 2021, according to real estate consultancy CBRE. 

Real estate advisory firm Savills has been appointed as property manager for Widok Towers, the most centrally located skyscraper in Warsaw. The mandate follows many years of cooperation with German Commerz Real AG, the owner of the property, on Tulipan House and Millennium Park A.

The property investment market in Romania totalled €518 million in the first half of 2022, up 30.5% compared to the same period of last year, with retail and office sectors driving deals, according to real estate consultancy Crosspoint Real Estate. 

According to a report published by Newmark Polska, occupier demand remained relatively strong in Poland’s regional city office markets throughout the second quarter of this year amid gradually shrinking office availability. However, persistently high construction costs and rising financing costs continued to limit developers activity on the regional office markets.

Futureal Investments Partners has announced that it will start the renovation of one of its recently acquired real estate investments in Poland. The Wratislavia Tower office building in Wrocław will be renovated with an intention to obtain the BREEAM Excellent In-Use certificate. More than half of the complex will be leased by the City of Wrocław.
