Czech investment group Axelor has announced the strengthening of its real estate team. The expansion of the Aurelia fund is going to be led by British manager Fraser Watson as Head of Real Estate.

Fraser Watson began his professional career in the United Kingdom, where he obtained, among other things, a RICS professional qualification. He has been working in Prague since 2007, where he started in the investment department of Cushman & Wakefield. He subsequently managed the Central European expansion of AmRest and later SportsDirect.com, where he was responsible for the strategy and management of an extensive portfolio of 250 retail stores in 16 European countries. He has been part of the investment team at Savills since 2018 and became the head of investments for the Czech Republic and Slovakia in the same company in 2023.

His key projects to date include the sale of the Myslbek shopping centre in Prague, the acquisition of Cromwell's Polish retail portfolio, and representing real estate agency Hines in the acquisition of CPI's industrial portfolio.

"I look forward to being part of an ambitious team and contributing to the growth of the Aurelia fund, as it has committed to investors at its inception, with an emphasis on long-term asset appreciation," said Fraser Watson.

"We expect Fraser to be the cornerstone around which we will build an experienced investment and asset management team," adds Pavel Svoreň, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Axelor Group.
