S Immo Hungary decided to install more than 400 solar panels on top of the Blue Cube office building. The solar panels will cover 20-25% of the total energy consumption of the office building
The real estate investment company, which is also listed on the Austrian stock exchange, aims to minimize its ecological footprint, including the transformation of the building into a “Green Cube” and, as part of its green strategy, provide the electricity supply of all domestic buildings from renewable energy sources from January this year.
The company will provide all buildings in the Hungarian portfolio with a BREEAM green rating in the coming period. Currently, 5 out of 7 office buildings are already rated, said Géza Barabás, the company’s CEO.
