Antracit Property will be building in two locations in the Czech Republic simultaneously. In Ostrava-Poruba it is preparing an industrial building for long-term lease, while in Pilsen it will also build a rental project on a brownfield site near the railway station.

The 143,000 sqm logistics facility of the Danish furniture retailer will serve more than 200 retail units in Hungary, Slovakia, Croatia and Slovenia. Online sales will be managed also from this centre. The complex was built by the Hungarian construction company Market Group.

Panattoni has passed 130,000 sqm delivered for LX Pantos in Poland. The Korean logistics operator has increased the space it occupies within Panattoni Park Wrocław XIII to 50,000 sqm.

CTP sees growing interest in smaller multifunctional spaces of up to 2,000 sqm in the Czech Republic. In Brno's Ponávka Business Park, which is owned by CTP, there has been a long-standing interest in small spaces despite their full occupancy. Therefore, the developer has built two CTBox buildings in the revitalised brownfield CTPark Brno Líšeň, in which it is possible to rent multifunctional spaces from as little as 400 sqm, and more than half of the units have already been occupied. Most recently, the same type of units has also become available at CTPark Hradec Králové.

Romania's industrial market continued to perform impressively in Q3 2022, with gross demand reaching a record high of around 408,700 sqm, from 188,400 sqm in Q2 and 129,000 sqm in the same period of last year, according to real estate consultancy JLL Romania. 

Inflation and the energy crises have not influenced the Czech industrial real estate market yet as the market broke two historical records in the period of Q3 2022. More than half a million sqm of new industrial space was completed and the vacancy rate fell below 1% for the first time in recorded history, says the newest JLL report.

Demand for logistics and industrial space is close to registering a new record in 2022 as the vacancy rate reached 4.3% at the end of Q3, which is one of the lowest levels in the last decade, according to real estate consultancy Cushman & Wakefield Echinox. 

Phase 1 of the East Gate Pro Business Park has been completed. Nearly 75% of the available space had been leased.

Panattoni starts another record-breaking investment, valued at €161 million (about PLN 770 million). The developer purchased nearly 45 hectares of land in October this year. Panattoni Park Katowice Airport will begin construction in the coming months, eventually reaching an area of 216,270 sqm. The investment will be built in the vicinity of the international airport, and the A1 and S1 routes. 

Industrial and logistics developer CTP has named Matthias Bitzan as Country Head for operations in Austria. He joins CTP from Austria’s Erste Group Bank where he was head of Commercial Real Estate Clients and responsible for growing the bank’s loan portfolio in Austria and CEE markets over the last decade.
