Accolade ranks among the largest funds in CEE

Accolade Industrial Fund achieved a return of 9.33 percent in euros and 8.49 percent in crowns last year. It thus met the expected appreciation even in unpredictable economic conditions. Other figures, such as the increase in rent collections, a portfolio value of over €1.5 billion and the ownership of 1.6 million sqm of premium industrial space, also show that the fund has performed well, the fund announced.

Cushman & Wakefield to manage NREP's warehouse portfolio

Cushman & Wakefield has been appointed by BIK S.A. to manage a property portfolio comprising four logistics parks. BIK S.A. is a Polish logistics developer owned by investment fund NREP NSF IV and supervised by Logicenters – the logistics platform of NREP. Cushman & Wakefield will provide integrated asset management solutions including financial and accounting services and ESG strategy execution advisory for Logistics Centre Kraków I, Logistics Centre Kraków II, BIK Park Sosnowiec II and BIK Park Wrocław I, with a combined leasable area of around 80,000 sqm.

Garbe Industrial Real Estate continues to expand in Europe

Garbe Industrial Real Estate is moving ahead with its Europe-wide expansion, benefiting from the persistently strong demand for logistics space. For the 203 assets under its management with around 5.7 million square metres of lettable area (including open space), the company achieved rent increases averaging 11.7 percent through indexation provisions and by negotiating new lease agreements. The occupancy rate of the portfolio equals 98 percent. Moreover, the company responded to demand across Europe by delivering new sustainably designed logistics properties.

Polish warehouse market to get more expensive in 2023

The Polish warehousing market in 2022 remained in good condition. By the end of December 2022, more than 4.4 million sqm (+42% y/y) of new space was completed, corresponding with strong activity by tenants, who leased nearly 6.7 million sqm (-9 y/y). Another 3.4 million sqm is under construction (-25% y/y), which promises to surpass the 30 million sqm mark in 2023. The high absorption rate did not significantly affect the increase in the vacancy rate, keeping it at 4.1% (+0.2 bps y/y). The event of the year was undoubtedly the rising rental rates, which increased on average by 15-20% compared to previous years, according to Axi Immo's recent report.

Żabka completes huge warehouse park near Warsaw

Żabka Polska is preparing to open a new logistics centre in Małopole by Radzymin near Warsaw. It will be one of the largest and most innovative logistics centres in Europe. The launch of the new facility with an area of approximately 60,000 sqm is planned for the second quarter of 2023. Thanks to this investment, more than 600 people will find work in the region - employed directly by Żabka or in companies cooperating with it.

Latest news


New leases

  • Intersport will open a new large outlet in the recently refurbished GOBUDA Mall in Budapest in Q3 2023. The firm joins German retailer Wellensteyn and Hungarian retailer Budmil, both started to trade there in March. A new Wok'n Go restaurant will be available in the mall in the Summer.
  • Wolt has leased office space in Warsaw's Lumen building. As a result of the transaction, the new tenant has taken nearly 900 sqm. The office building in the centre of Warsaw is owned and managed by Globalworth Poland.
  • Lighting company Wojnarowscy has agreed a lease renewal for 3,870 sqm of warehouse and office space in Panattoni Park Sosnowiec II. The tenant was advised on the lease renegotiation by experts of real estate advisory firm Newmark Polska.

New appointments

  • CPI Property Group is expanding its retail leasing department. Dariusz Kafara has been appointed as the new Leasing Manager. At the Warsaw branch of the company, Dariusz is responsible for maintaining the maximum level of commercialisation in two retail park chains from the group's portfolio - CityMarket and STOP SHOP.
  • Brian Nyeng Olesen, formerly head of commercial at the Salling Group, has been appointed as the new managing director of Netto Polska. The position was previously held by Hugo Mesquita.
  • M Core appoints Magdalena Kowalewska as the new Chief Operating Officer at LCP Properties, Poland. This comes at the same time that Krystian Modrzejewski has accepted a post as the Group Head of Expansion for Poland, where he will be responsible for realising the opportunity for land and asset acquisition in aid of portfolio growth. LCP Properties Poland is part of the M Core group, which brings together family-owned companies that invest in and manage real estate. It comprises LCP, Proudreed, Sheet Anchor, GIPAM and Evolve Estates.
