80% of all renters and those looking for a flat to rent would like total rental costs to stay under PLN 2,000 per month, reveals a survey from Cushman & Wakefield carried out by SW Research on a representative sample of the inhabitants of the largest Polish cities. More than half can afford to spend up to PLN 1,500 per month.

The residential sector has proven its resilience during the pandemic and housing accounts for 69% (over €20 billion) of the loans granted to Romanians, according to a report by the National Bank of Romania (BNR).

Trei Real Estate is moving ahead with two large-scale residential projects in Poland. In Wrocław, the company launched the third construction stage of the “Bacciarellego 54” quarter, which will deliver a total of 91 apartments when completed by year-end 2022. In Łódź – with its population of around 700,000 the third-largest city in Poland after Warsaw and Krakow – Trei is about to kick off its second construction stage, which comprises 88 residential units. All things considered, Trei is planning to build a total of 1,320 residential units in Poland in the years ahead and will invest a total of €125 million.

In mid-April this year, Equilis Poland finalized the land purchase transaction in Warsaw's Ursus district and plans to implement development of over 1,000 apartments there. Construction is scheduled to begin in the upcoming year.

Romanian real estate developer One United Properties has purchased a land plot of 21,165 sqm in Bucharest from a member company of Țiriac Group in a deal worth €15 million. 

Living, Wing’s residential property development umbrella brand, has completed its new residential park, Metropolitan Garden, in District 13, near Béke tér. Metropolitan Garden offers homes of various sizes between 30 sqm and 110 sqm in area. Each apartment has a balcony and is equipped with smart solutions.

Swedish company Heimstaden is entering the Prague rental market. It has acquired the first 164 units under construction in Prague's Holešovice district as part of the Pergamenka project from developer FINEP.
