Romanian developer Genesis Property says it is supplying all its office and student accommodation projects in Bucharest from renewable sources, following an investment in a photovoltaic system.

Alina Necula, Country Manager Romania Lion’s Head, talked to Property Forum about the company’s plans to develop its first logistics projects in Romania and the strategic leasing transactions closed in the company’s flagship office project, Oregon Park in Bucharest.

Developer Sekyra Group is launching the second stage of its extensive project of the new Smíchov City district in Prague, reports E15.cz. Three administrative buildings are planned to be built here, including the new headquarters of Česká spořitelna and a hotel.

The office and business centre Karlák Shopping Square (formerly Charles Square Center) owned by KGAL is getting a new face. The complete rebranding, architectural modifications and reconstruction of retail and office spaces, including a modernised logo are all included in the reconstruction plan.

International developer UDI Group is developing the Parkside project in Budapest. Baltic hotel group Mogotel is confirmed to operate it under the Staybridge Suites brand name of the global hotel chain IHG.

The Italian studio Stefano Boeri Architetti has been announced as the winner of the international architectural and urban planning competition opened by Penta Real Estate at the end of last year for the Chalupkova project in Bratislava. The land is located in the Mlynské nivy zone and is bordered by Košická and Chalupkova streets.

Bucharest’s office development pipeline is low, with just 24,000 sqm expected for delivery by the end of 2025, which could further push pre-leasing activity to new lows, according to a report by iO Partners.

Skanska has sold the Nowy Rynek E office building constructed in the Wilda district of Poznań, Poland. The buyer is Eastnine AB, a Swedish real estate company focused on office premises in prime locations at selected markets in the Baltics and Poland. This is the second transaction between these two parties in Central and Eastern Europe.
