Simona Șchiopotă, Managing Partner at Hitch&Mosher spoke to Property Forum about the potential of Timișoara and the western part of Romania to attract new real estate investors and the expansion of the agency’s portfolio with propert management services and commercial projects.

LaSalle Investment Management (LaSalle) launched the development of a new premium retail and office centre, 100YARDS on the iconic Na Příkopě street in Central Prague. The project will transform three separate buildings into one mixed-use complex which will feature a landmark new shopping destination and premium office space. The opening is planned for the second half of 2024, the company says.

Property developer Prime Kapital says it will invest close to €2 billion across Romania in retail, office and residential projects alongside MAS Real Estate by 2029. 

AFI Europe has officially started the development of its first Romanian retail park in Arad. The project will have a leasable area of 29,400 sqm and has already reached an occupancy rate of 70%. 

The Lakeside Park 02 office complex in Bratislava's Nové Mesto has already been approved and the first tenants will start moving in this September. The building is the result of cooperation between Immocap and WOOD & Company. The successful approval of the complex was announced by the developer Immocap.

CA Immo Hungary will use a 3D Digital Twin based solution developed by Romanian startup Bright Spaces. As of summer 2022, leasing activity in the Kyiv office market was near a standstill and primarily driven by office optimization, as well as lease renewals and renegotiations of existing leases, according to the latest research of CBRE Ukraine. Whereas, as of the beginning of June, we observed a slight recovery in the level of office occupancy by employees who continued to work or who returned to Kyiv. Thus, typical office attendance among corporate occupiers was ca. 10% with many tenants in IT, high tech & telecommunications, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, agriculture, FMCG and industrial sectors planning to increase occupancy to 15%.

Affiliates of Lone Star Funds have acquired a real estate package from Cavatina Holding S.A. After announcing their intention to go ahead with the deal in June, the parties managed to quickly bring it to a conclusion. Carbon Tower in Wrocław, Ocean Office Park A and Tischnera Office in Kraków offer a total of nearly 66,000 sqm of GLA with an average lease rate of approx. 90%. The deal amounted to more than €139 million.
