Panattoni has started construction of a speculative 17,300 sqm last-mile logistics warehouse project in Törökbálint, about 12 kilometres from Budapest's city centre. The launch of Panattoni Park Budapest City West follows the company’s market debut in Hungary in 2021 with the acquisition of two land sites totalling 100,000 sqm near the capital.

Panattoni is developing its latest project tailored for a global brand. A leading global logistics company is to operate on 32,000 sqm of the BTO facility, which is being built in Robakowo near Poznań. Construction work started in May, and in late 2022 or early 2023, the client will gain access to the property. Over 20,000 sqm of the space is designated for the automatic sorting of parcels. The project is to be BREEAM certified and will feature, among others, a 900 kWp solar farm and a heat pump.

Garbe Industrial Real Estate GmbH raised approximately €400 million in equity among German and international investors for its investment fund, “Garbe Logistics Real Estate Fund Plus III” (GLIF+III). The Luxembourg special AIF (SICAV-RAIF) without maturity is an Article-8 fund with a manage-to-ESG strategy. With a planned investment volume of €5 billion, it is Garbe’s largest pan-European fund for institutional investors to date.

SEGRO has leased 10,500 sqm space to Vilmorin Garden in a new facility in SEGRO Logistics Park Poznań, Komorniki, commissioned in 2021. 

Kromberg & Schubert’s new plant is to start production at the beginning of Q3 2022 in Skopje, North Macedonia. The transaction was assisted by Forton MKA, an alliance partner of Cushman & Wakefield for North Macedonia.

German online fashion distributor BestSecret will take up almost 90,000 sqm in Panattoni Park Sulechów III with the option to further expand by another 42,000 sqm. The development will be handed over in stages between January and June 2023. 

DHL Supply Chain has renewed its lease with Logicor on an improved and extended facility in Racibórz. The c. 10,000 sqm extension now takes the facility to c. 32,000 sqm.

The logistic real estate market of Ukraine has been seriously damaged during the military aggression on the part of the Russian Federation. Warehouses are subjected to targeted attacks, as they are regarded by the aggressor as strategic objects, providing logistics, delivery of food and essential goods. On the territory of the Kyiv region, warehouse and logistics complexes with a total area of about 382,000 square meters were destroyed, writes Iryna Nastych summarised the situation in an article prepared by the Ukrainian Real Estate Club for Property Forum.

The total stock of SBU (Small Business Units) / LML (Last Mile Logistics) space in the CEE-15 countries accounts for over 3 million sqm, but the development of this market is not evenly spread in this region. The largest amount of space is located in Poland (circa about 2 million sqm), reveals a new report by Colliers.

Accolade Group plans to invest over CZK 6 billion in the Karlovy Vary Region. Accolade's portfolio currently includes two industrial parks near Cheb with a total of five buildings and thirteen tenants. Three more buildings are in preparation or under construction in Cheb. So far, the group has financed the development of approximately 250,000 sqm of industrial and logistics space in the area, the value of which exceeds CZK 5 billion.
