Toys distribution firm Viva Toys has purchased a 12,500 sqm logistics space as well as a land plot of 63,667 sqm from Aplast Wood Industry, a portfolio company of the CEE Special Situations Fund managed by EMSA Capital, for an undisclosed sum. The assets are based in a locality in Ilfov County, near Bucharest.
Aplast is one of the largest manufacturers of doors and windows in Romania, specialized in supplying these products to demanding DIY retail chains in Europe.
“This transaction is a very good indicator for the dynamics and potential of the logistics market in Romania in particular, but also for the real estate field in general,” said Mihai Stanciu, Managing Associate of CEE Attorneys/Boanță, Gîdei și Asociații, the law firm that advised the seller on the deal.
Viva Toys covers over 60-70% of the toy offer on the market and reported sales of turnover of more than €10 million in 2022.
