Development company Antracit is launching a series of projects in several cities in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. It is preparing a mixed-use rental project in Ostrava, an office and apartment project and a rental project in Pilsen. A mixed-use rental project is also being prepared in Žilina and another rental project in an industrial area in Prešov, the company announced. 

This year CA Immo has already closed 18 lease transactions in total in Prague. These are mostly new leases and expansions with an office space of almost 16,200 sqm. Also, both new office buildings Mississippi House and Missouri Park, which have been completed in summer of 2021, are fully let now.  

Swedish company Desenio Group set up a new distribution centre for European markets outside the Nordic region. For the centre, Desenio leased nearly 18,500 sqm in CTPark Bor. The transaction was assisted by Cushman & Wakefield.

The demand for office space in Prague increased by 29% quarter-on-quarter for the first quarter of 2021 and by 44% year-on-year. Although the largest transactions of the quarter were lease renegotiations – including Seznam.cz (14,800 sqm) in Palác Křižík in Prague 5 or MSD Czech Republic (6,800 sqm) in Riverview in Prague 5 – the share of newly leased space increased to 58%. The increase in newly leased and pre-leased space indicates confidence and healthy growth of the Prague office market. Despite the fact that leasing activity posted record numbers, the vacancy rate rose by 60 basis points quarter-on-quarter to 8.4%. JLL recorded an increase in vacancy rates in almost all Prague districts, as announced in the last report.

A new logistics park will be built in Ziar nad Hronom in central Slovakia by autumn 2023. The developer Contera will construct it here for € 22 million. The first big tenant is already assured too, it will be the electronics wholesaler Fast Plus, writes logistikadnes.sk. 

European developer and owner of semi-industrial and logistics properties VGP has acquired a new tenant for its logistics park VGP Park Kladno in the Kladno East industrial zone. It is the Danish company Kvadrat, which focuses on interior design and is entering the domestic market, VGP announced.

The Prague office building Parkview currently owned by Deka Immobilien is now 100% leased. The nine-story building developed and finished in 2020 by Skanska in the Pankrác district will house the software company JetSoft and the research technology company Lucid, Skanska, the original developer of the building, announced today.

VGP has gradually leased over 49,000 sqm of warehouse space in its VGP Park Olomouc to Hella Autotechnik Nova. The first contract was signed last November. It has now signed another contract with the concern for space that is still under construction. The transaction was announced today by VGP.

The Czech branch of Colliers launched a new generation of search engines for vacant office, industrial and retail space in the Czech Republic, the company announced.

The third fund of the Arete Group has completed the acquisition of a production site in Beluša, Slovakia, which is leased by Booster Precision Components. The value of the transaction exceeded €10 million, the company announced on its website.
