Globalworth completes delisting from Warsaw Stock Exchange

Globalworth confirmed the completion of the delisting of its Polish subsidiary, Globalworth Poland Real Estate N.V. from the Warsaw Stock Exchange with effect from 29 September 2019.  With the company's shareholding in GPRE having reached 99.92%, the remaining shares in GPRE will now be acquired through a mandatory acquisition, thereby completing this process.

Hines Global acquires second logistics facility in Poland

Redside buys retail store in the Czech Republic

Nova Real Estate fund, managed by the fund management company Redside, has completed the acquisition of the home improvement supplies store  OBI in Frýdek Místek, from the seller, development company PTO. OBI is a German multinational retailing company founded in 1970. With more than 650 retail stores, OBI is the largest DIY retailer in Europe, and the third-largest in the world. This is the second property with OBI as a tenant in the Fund’s portfolio in the Czech Republic.

Futureal sells one more office building to OTP Real Estate Fund

As part of the largest ever transaction on the Hungarian office market, Futureal Group has sold the fifth office complex developed on Corvin Promenade to OTP Real Estate Investment Fund. Through this transaction, OTP Prime Real Estate Investment Fund has now acquired the Corvin Technology Park office building from the group. Following the sale, the office portfolio of real estate funds managed by OTP Real Estate Investment Fund Management Ltd. will offer nearly 100,000 square meters on Corvin Promenade.

Hungary’s Indotek Group buys shopping centre in Romania

French AEW Europe and Hungarian Indotek Group have concluded an agreement regarding the acquisition of the Promenada shopping centre in Târgu Mureș, Romania. The 50,000 sqm building’s tenants include Auchan, Leroy Merlin, Decathlon, H&M, Cinema City, LC Waikiki, New Yorker, Hervis and Media Galaxy. Indotek Group plans to renovate and modernize the whole building and plans further acquisitions to strengthen its presence on the Romanian commercial real estate market.

New leases

  • Romanian strategic advisory firm Infinexa Restructuring has relocated its HQ to GTC’s City Gate South Tower in Bucharest. The move supports their integrated approach to delivering complex debt restructuring, insolvency mandates, and preventive procedures for distressed companies.
  • Sports Direct has leased 1,700 sqm in XOPark Sofia for its first Bulgarian store, in a deal brokered by CBRE.
  • LAPP Romania has renewed its lease for approximately 2,000 sqm within CTP Romania's CTPark Bucharest, in a deal brokered by iO Partners.

New appointments

  • PSN has expanded its acquisitions team with the arrival of Martin Šrytr as Business Development Manager. Most recently, he served as Real Estate Expansion Manager at Twistcafe Group, supporting the company’s EMEA growth. His previous experience includes consulting at Cushman & Wakefield, advisory roles at Prochazka & Partners, and management positions within IWG.
  • iO Partners has announced key leadership changes within its Czech Republic operations as part of its ongoing business evolution. Milan Kilik has been appointed as the new Head of Office Leasing, with a particular focus on client advisory and team collaboration. Concurrently, Petr Kareš has transitioned into the role of Occupier Business Development Director. In this new capacity, he will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities and integrating services across Tenant Representation, Project Management, and Industrial Leasing.
  • Romanian office developer Genesis Property has appointed Cătălin Niculiță as Leasing Manager. With nearly 20 years of experience in the real estate industry, he has held leadership roles at real estate companies such as Atenor, collaborating with major office tenants in the banking, telecom, and IT sectors.
