CTP has started the construction of solar power plants across its entire portfolio, with the first phase of 6 buildings to be installed in Biatorbágy and Üllő, both located in the outskirts of Budapest.  The plants, each with a capacity of 500 kW, are scheduled to start operations in the first quarter of 2022, aiming to meet tenants' green energy needs while reducing energy costs. The project will be carried out by local contractors and will be developed by CTP as its own investment, entirely from its own resources.

GLP has closed an acquisition contract for a 22.3-hectare plot in Szigetszentmiklós, next to its existing Sziget Logistics Centre near Budapest, the larger part of which has already been let to Fiege Group. GLP has simultaneously obtained an occupancy permit for the first building, while two further units are under construction. The two phases of the project will comprise more than 150,000 sqm of prime warehouse space.

The Resideo warehouse in Nagykanizsa, Western Hungary has recently changed hands, Cushman & Wakefield announced on LinkedIn.

The volume of real estate investments in Romania gained 4% year-on-year to €919.45 million, driven by office and industrial developments, according to a report by real estate consultancy Fortim T.A., a member of BNP Paribas Real Estate. 

CTP has appointed Harry Bannatyne as Group Head of Client Relations based in the company’s headquarters in Prague. Bannatyne was previously a Partner and Regional Director Industrial at Colliers in the Czech capital. Prior to that he was National Director, Head of Industrial Agency for the Czech Republic and Slovakia at JLL.

Accolade secured the plot to launch its new project. The new industrial park has a planned area of 76,000 sqm and an investment value of over €60 million. It will be located on the Polish western border, along the S3 road and right next to the A2 highway junction.

Griffes ended 2021 with a significant office leasing surge, placing the agency as the second best performing real estate player in the intermediated office leasing segment in Romania. Allianz Real Estate, acting on behalf of several Allianz group companies, and logistics developer VGP have agreed to form a new 50/50 joint venture. The vehicle, the fourth such venture between Allianz Real Estate and VGP since 2016, will develop a portfolio of prime logistics assets in Germany, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia.
