As of December 1, Martin Baláž will step up into the position of Senior Vice President, Country Manager Czech Republic, Slovakia & Hungary, reporting to Pawel Sapek, Prologis Senior Vice President and Regional Head for Central Europe.

The widening of Martin’s responsibilities, both geographically and from a business perspective, comes after three years of consistently strong performance driving Prologis’ success in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

“This is an exciting time for Prologis throughout Central Europe, and I can’t wait to get started in my new role,” says Martin Baláž. “The past three years have been among the most challenging that anyone in the logistics sector can remember, but thanks to the passion and dedication of our excellent teams, we’re going from strength to strength. I’m honoured to continue leading our teams in the Czech Republic and Slovakia while assuming responsibility for our operations in Hungary too.”

In his new role, Martin will focus on strengthening the development of Prologis’ teams throughout the region. His leadership vision focusing on top-notch customer services going beyond the four walls and a roof of warehouse spaces promises to take the company’s success to an even higher level.

“I’m excited to see what Martin can achieve in his new role,” says Pawel Sapek, Prologis Senior Vice President and Regional Head for Central Europe. “His personal drive, his deep insights into the Central European logistics sector, and his passion for innovation will lift our operations in this cluster to even greater operational excellence. I’d like to congratulate Martin for his outstanding work to date and wish him the best of luck going forward.”
