The European logistics markets are currently unstoppable and are reaching record levels. Supported by the flourishing online trade and a surge in demand due to last-mile requirements, the growth prospects continue to be very positive, both from an investment and user perspective, according to Catella’s Logistics Market Map Europe 2021.

Poland is leading the industrial market in terms of yearly deliveries and e-commerce is creating strong demand across Central and Eastern Europe, pointed out speakers during the logistics panel of CEE Property Forum 2021, Property Forum’s first real-life event back in Vienna since 2019 which was attended by over 400 people coming from countries all over the region and beyond.

Real estate consultancy CBRE has named Joanna Sinkiewicz as Head of Industrial and Logistics for Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). 

Felix Stroe is the new Operational Country Manager of VGP Romania starting October 1st. He is an experienced civil engineer with extensive experience in construction management. 

The European distributor and importer of spare parts for passenger cars will join as a tenant at MLP Poznań West, leasing a facility with an increased height of 11.5 metres. The facility, planned to be delivered in the third quarter of 2022, will meet the requirements for BREEAM certification.

Adrian and Dragoș Pavăl, the founders of DIY chain Dedeman, have acquired the land and warehouses owned by DB Schenker in northern Bucharest, in a deal worth over €15 million.

Transport services provider Regesta has moved into Hillwood Wrocław East. The new tenant took more than 17,500 sqm of warehouse and office space in the Wrocław logistics centre. Regesta was represented during the search for the new location and lease negotiations by experts of real estate advisory firm Cresa. Hillwood Wrocław East, comprising seven buildings with a total area of over 210,000 sqm, is now fully leased.

The Industrial Agency of Colliers Czech Republic received an exclusive mandate from Prologis to find a suitable tenant for the industrial premises in Rudná near Prague. There are currently only eight vacant industrial spaces available ready for immediate occupancy within the area of Greater Prague.

According to Savills, the European logistics market is on track for another record year, as investment volumes and take-up activity are already in excess of five-year averages at the half-year point. Take up in Poland in H1 2021 exceeded 3,000,000 sqm the first time in history and was higher than France, UK and Spain.

German bicycle manufacturer CUBE is expanding its operations by launching its first production facility at CTPark Cheb in the Czech Republic, in a new building with 10,000 sqm of space. The new assembly line for bicycles is planned to start in February 2022.
