BSH, the manufacturer of Bosch and Siemens domestic appliances, has relocated production to a new factory in Rudna Wielka, near Rzeszów. The small domestic appliances production facility was built by Panattoni with a total project value of almost €130 million.
The facility covers 73,000 sqm and comprises a production hall, warehouse and office section. This consolidates all of BSH's operations in Rzeszów in a single location. "The move to a new, larger factory is another step on the path to our company's development and the best confirmation that BSH feels very much at home in Poland, in Rzeszów," said Konrad Pokutycki, CEO of BSH in Poland.
The new factory will expand existing production of vacuum cleaners and capsule coffee machines. Michael Baumeister, Management Board Member of the small household appliances division at BSH Group, announced that next year production will begin of espresso machines. "We have created a facility with working conditions at ergonomic workstations," Baumeister said.
The production site in the Rzeszów-Dworzysko Special Economic Zone benefits from proximity to motorway and expressway connections, as well as railway access. "In less than a year, we delivered a production facility with an area of 73,000 sqm, designed on a BTS basis to meet the needs of one of the most advanced small household appliances factories in the BSH Group," said Marek Dobrzycki, Partner at Panattoni.
BSH is creating 1,000 jobs in the Podkarpacie region. The company has operated in Poland for 33 years and currently employs almost 8,000 people across six factories, logistics centres, two research and development centres, and shared service centres. BSH has invested over €1.5 billion in Łódź, Wrocław and Rzeszów to date.
