Half of Romanian employees believe that the office needs to be redesigned to create different areas that give them more flexibility and multiple working options, depending on the type of work and collaboration needs, according to a survey carried out by Romanian developer Genesis Property. 

Genesis Property, the biggest Romanian owner of offices, has become the first real estate developer in the country that joined the United Nations (UN) global community for sustainability and durable development.

Some companies have seen slight increases in the productivity of employees working remotely since the pandemic, which fuelled the idea that most employees can continue to work from anywhere since they can be just as productive as working from the office. But there is a contradiction here: on a global scale, more and more people worked and lived under stressful conditions in the last year and a half. In this context, the big question is if people can be more productive remotely in the long run. Moreover, this situation brings on a very important idea, that offices should become hubs designed for productivity and sustain a much less stressful way of working for employees in the long term. Nearly three out of four employees in Romania now work from their office at least 3 days a week and most of them believe that the return to the office buildings can support the economic recovery, according to a survey by Genesis Property. 

Romanian developer Genesis Property says that its IMMUNE Building Standard is also covering the residential sector, on top of the office and industrial segments. 

Private campuses are becoming an increasingly popular option for students across Romania, and they are looking for accommodation facilities that protect their health, according to representatives of Genesis Property, the owner of West Gate Studios campus and the 4-star Studio One Accommodation Suites. 

A new survey by Genesis Property shows that 43% of Romanian employees believe that the main feature of their offices should be a healthy space, while 23% say that the workspaces should have a good resource management that includes the usage of renewable energy and efficient recycling.
